Yeah pretty much. Just keep an eye on some of the changes made over the years like the head bolts/cam bearings, cam sensor, and reluctor wheel. If it's going in an Fbody there is a hole you will need to drill and tap on the drivers side for an accessory bracket.

not the same but better lol but im meaning its pretty much the same as an LS2 i want 400-450 rwhp out if it, although i dont wanna spend 3 arms and 2 legs so i figure rebuild like stock LS2 but add ported/polished heads sizable cam etc

450 is easy with PRC stg 3 heads and the right cam. 500 is not out of the question either with some AFR's and a custom cam. it all comes down to budget. better start talking to an engine builder....

i probably will but i gotta get a LQ9 first the guy said its from an 06 i believe and wants 300 for block and main caps or 380 for block main caps and new piston rings, i just hate having to save for parts lol

i will probably buy an LSx engine harness from EFI Connections if they will sell it alone outside their kit, so it will be plug and play for my LT1 Body and i think 500 bucks isnt bad but i know i could do it my self if i had the patience lol

Could i get a 5.3 "iron ls1" block and bore it to 6.0? or would it be better to stop at 5.7? same guy with the LQ9 for sell has a 5.3 already prepped for rebuild for 125.00 or would it be cheaper to get the lq9 that would still need machine work etc? if i have to stop at 5.7 would i be able to get up to 450rwhp still?

I DD one for almost a year its a decent cam, you'll need a set of 4.10's to offset the rpm range of the cam. I made 416rwhp and I want to say 390+rwtq I'm just too lazy to find the dyno sheet.
