This has been on and off for a while. There is already a SC'd 6.2L in the Zeta platform. The CTSV. So it wouldn't be a stretch for GM to do. If they'll actually do it. The problem is they'll want more $ that its worth.

The more interesting news is the apparent confirmation from General Motors' new VP of Global Vehicle Engineering, Karl Stracke to Motor Trend that the Z/28 will become a reality. Chevrolet officials have declined to comment on the matter, but we're guessing that it might appear sometime next year as a 2012 model. Motivation will likely be provided by a variant of the supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 found in the Cadillac CTS-V, with around 550 horsepower being channeled through a six-speed manual gearbox

I read that part too..
It would be the best day of my life if and when it happens. It would be funny to see these fan boys jump on the supercharged band wagon after years of crying like little girls about mustangs beating them with blowers. Does the comment "fords need a supercharger to beat a N/A Chevy" ring any bells? These same **** will be slobbing on supercharged camaro nuts when it hits the road, but lucky for us they are all too retarded to afford one on their own. That should help the Camaro camp maintain some dignity when it's out.

Heard this about a year ago. I wish GM would just confirm or deny it, whichever way they go. I thought it was weird for the Z28 to be the superior performance platform over the SS. I am not too keen on classics, but I thought the SS has always been more performance oriented over the Z28, like the recent years. ![Suspicious](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/suspicious.gif)

Where are all the Cobra / GT500 supercharger hating Chevy fan boys now?
Ford needs a supercharger to stay competitive.

And yes, that is old news. Think they got the go around January (that article was posted Jan 1st). At least that's when I read it. Although there are alot of rumors circulating, such as solid rear axle, lighter composites, and so on. Who knows. They are predicting end of 2011 or begginning of 2012.
