Default 70 Camaro Build

Picked this up a couple days ago. My boss is leaving at the end of July so that is when the body work will be done and the car will be painted(lol). I have no clue what color I should go with though, either "Hugger Orange", which is supposed to be the original color, black or maybe a bright blue. Will be running 17 or 18 inch wheels and have been looking around for used CCW's and the like. And before anyone says anything I am actually going to restore the car this time haha.. The Mustang needs to sell before I can get the motor/trans and wheels/tires first.

I want to throw in a cammed LS1/T56. I already have buyer for the original motor and trans.

Of course my step dad is being Mr jealous dick mc ******* again so I can't keep it at the house. I am not sure what I am going to do since the T/A inspection goes out this month and it is going to need a TON of work to pass. I was just going to drive this for a couple months and slowly build up the T/A but of course dip **** ruined that plan. I can't sell the T/A either or I will have to walk to work and school since he said I won't have any other car here. What the ****?

Here is a link to the gallery, too many pics.. http://img248.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=010cwn.jpg

Let me know what time you go, I will bring this up there Friday. At least you can even have yours lol, basically all I can do with this thing is run errands at work with it. It's bullshit and I just topped it off with gas too. I really don't see what the big deal is, it looks better than his piece of **** neon and beat up dakota. I almost want to tell him I sold the T/A and see if he really makes me walk to work.

Just got to wait for my mom to whoop his *** and he'll change his mind. I hope I don't ever end up like his dead beat kids, one's 40 and can't even afford to fix his transmission and lives with his mom.

Sounds like you need to put a few of your rides in storage. As for the car situation my parents are not car people at all and think its a waste of $$. When i pulled in the driveway in the 72 my dad said "why do you continue to mess with old cars when you have a new car"

I do, I keep the Mustang and Camaro at work. I got it insured today so I figured I would start driving it and left the T/A at work, well bad idea.

My parents do that also, they think it's all a waste of money plus my mom says I am never happy. I don't think she quite understand how much money I have made doing this. Most kids my age have to beg their parents for money to go to the movies.

I say go with the original hugger orange, or the lite metallic blue from 70. I'm parial to that blue since that was the color of the 70 I had. Cortez siver is an original color that looks good on them too.

After having 2 black cars, I don't care to have another. So I'll vote against black.

When you're tired of your parents, I'll adopt you. I could use a kid that restores cars. I can do the mechanics, but have no experience with body work.

Your stepdad is trying to keep you from getting too comfortable living under his roof.

I drove a restored 72 SS454 El Camino through high school and I was not even allowed to park it in the driveway EVER, when I found a sweet deal on a mid 70s Camaro my Stepdad told me I would have to get a boat stall like he did when he was young and I would not be allowed to park it at his house or his 10 acre shop (this is coming from a man with a 36 Ford, 41 Chevy, a 76 GMC Astro 95 and a pair of dune buggies) I learned my lesson though I went out and got a good job so that I could buy a big *** house with a big *** garage to keep my **** in. Hell now my stepdad will even bring the trailer and will store cars for me when I find one I have to have.

Hugger Orange is my vote
Check out the Year One 5 spoke rallys I am looking at them for my El Camino, they have the stock look but in a 17 real retro

Good looking car!

Living under their roof you have to follow their rules. Trust me, you could have it a lot worse.

Yeah I know, it could always be worse. Thinking about putting the profits from this car toward a house or something. Pro Touring Camaro's sell for quite a bit.

I was offered $8k for the car today though, definitely considering it.

Anyone know of any good black wheels with polished lip for $1500-$2000?

Yep, maybe next week the bodywork will start, waiting for my Boss to go on vacation so he doesn't double the cost for supplies. Been searching Craigslist for a spoiler and cowl hood for it too. Really only needs a quarter sized metal patch and some bondo at the bottom of the quarters plus sanding all the paint chips out and it's ready for paint. I am torn between black and orange though..

Here is a black one that's on Ebay.

Torn between black and orange...How about black with orange stripes like the one you pictured. Maybe something along the sides orange as well, similar to the hockey stripes on 4th gen camaros.
