Stock... And fix your sig, it's weird not seeing it there.

99 LS1, MAYBE LS6 intake(i'll check tomorrow), stock heads, stock cam, 12 bolt rear. Car runs amazing though, test drove about 5 and owned an SS, this car *** rapes all of them.

And yes I am impatient plus the Camaro will be in the paint line pretty quick, can't have two cars out of commission at the same time but the T/A needs to be done before my senior year starts because after that I just won't have time to work on it.

true that, but hey thats life. when i did my cam i had no intentions of putting heads on my car. but thats ok i still made pretty good power for what it is, and i love my torque curve.

Here is the cam I have in my car on an A4 with cats and a 3000 stall. It a mid 230's cam on a 113. It drives just as well as many of the smaller cams I have driven. The tune is critical on medium and larger cam cars. The car drives great at all RPM's. I'm going to slap my Mickey Thompson DR's on his car and I'll see what it runs. I don't do any racing below 3000-3500rpms, and this cam makes more hp and tq on both stock 241 and 243 heads above 3500rpm.

I had an ms3 in my last car. It ran great and put down great numbers but it was with a ported fast 90 and tea heads. My car drove great on the street. People knock it saying they drive like ****. But FYI that's all in the tune. I have had close to 700 lift cams with 260+ duration drive great on the street! The tune is everything. But i will say this. In my new car I have a tourquer v2. Drives the same as my ms3 car. Doesn't sound as mean but it makes way better mid level power. It will start pulling hard at 3,500 where my ms3 car didn't like to pull hard til 4,800 or so. The ms3 is a great cam but i would recommend the tourquer v2 unless your going to do heads and an intake. Personally I would take a custom grind over these shelf cams any day. Btw i think Texas speed has some of the cheapest cam kits!!

yeah i'll get around to it.

ok if you plan on any decent sized cam you will need at least an ls6 intake, some kind of tb upgrade(IMO), LT's, cat back, push rods, valve springs, timing set, and you might as well plan on doing an oil pump while your in there(mine failed and so have many others). i now have a melling HV and its awesome.

that being said i'de suggest something like a 230/232 .592/.595 112 LSA custom grind XER.

So pretty much a Torquer V2? It's only a smidge bigger than what you suggested.

I had an ms4 and loved it, then i cracked a valve spring and raped the motor. I've now got an ls6 and can vouch for a smaller cam pulling just as hard if not harder. For the price of the cam and swap kit I'd just get a better set of heads for now and call it a day.

truth...so yeah the tv2 is a great cam, look up the threads on it. and remember peak power doesn't really mean ****. power curve is what is important.

Don't race on the street. It's so ******* stupid...plus your not even out of high school yet.

Anyway I would go with a 224/224 or something like that. Those heads will choke the **** out of a bigger cam so I wouldn't go for anything really bigger than a 230 or so. Now if you would wait and go for some heads save up and get some tfs 215s and a fast plus a ms4 or something of that size. Now that would be extremely quick. Plus since you like working on cars why would you not want to change down the road. That's where all the fun is.
