Got my first Craigslist screwing this weekend
Have had many successful dealings on CL, but my luck ran out this weekend.
Had been looking around for a double DIN DVD/GPS w bluetooth head unit for my truck. Found a guy who had an XO Vision with everything I wanted, great price (now I know why) and was in my general area, wouldn't have to travel across town to get it. He still had it in his car and agreed to let me check it out before we made the deal. Met up and looked at it, played with it, GPS worked, played a dvd he had in it, face flipped ok, he said he never had any problems with it, everything looked up and up. He said he would have it uninstalled the next day and I would meet him to pick it up. Got it installed in my truck, took forever and about an extra 180 bucks to only find out that the dvd was stuck in it and in order to get it out of the GPS function you have to turn the unit completely off. SO..... if anybody knows of a place to get it worked on let me know, I like the unit and had to do some "modifications" to my bezel to get it to fit so would be willing to spend a little on it to get it working right.
Have called and text the guy many times, but, no answer (imagine that!). Guess I'll take my f'ing like a man and chalk it up to a lesson learned.

That is correct, and, after some research this morning, I think I can get a software update from XO vision to fix that. But the disc insert/eject problem is beyond me.

Did you not try to insert and eject a disc while you were checking out the unit? If you did and everything seemed to checkout properly at that time, it is quite possible that the unit may have been dropped. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

No I didn't, I guess partially my fault for not being thorough, just made sure what he had in there played.

sounds like a similar problem my co-worker had.
he bought a head unit of Craigslist and when he got it, it wouldnt eject the disk that the other person got stuck in it.
i bought my truck off craigslist... not something i would ever do again. slowly finding more and more problems that were conveniently covered up.

It shouldn't be too hard to get the disk out, if your radio has USB or AUX input you dont really need the CD/DVD player anyway

LOL! That's a pretty good idea, but I don't want to waste anymore time on the scum bag, karma is a bitch, I'll let her do her thing. Like I said he lives in the area so maybe I'll run into him somewhere.......
