Do you really think our humid climate down here even slightly compares to a dry mountain region climate for racing? Have you ever raced on a track before? I have been racing for over 20 years and have driven in both areas.....absolutely makes a difference, especially for forced induction cars.

I recently sold my 9 sec Grand National and ran it all over the country. BIIIIIIIG differences at various altitudes.

LOL!!! Ok, buddy. Whatever you say.

High altitude = slower times.

Houston Raceway Park is one of the fastest tracks in the country. It's below sea level.

HRP is fast, when the DA is decent. Those guys at Atco, MIR, etc in the northeast see a lot more negative DA's than HRP does.

My buddy went 12.54@114mph in his stock 2011GT last weekend at HRP. This was with a 2.0x 60ft. These cars are quick.

its all about the neg. DA's and track prep.

mountain air maybe cooler but its not denser due to altitude. its true racing here during the summer isn't the best but its still plenty fast, in the cooler seasons though thats when pb's and records are usually set.

...you might wanna check Ole'Yeller for an exhaust leak into the passenger cabin... you are suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning to make that statement...

Do you have experience running in a dry, higher elevation climate vs here? Turbo/blower cars always run better times in dry/cool environments. This track is good under "right" conditions. High humidity will hinder performance in those cars....not sure what you guys be smokin'.

Shut up Dave....just realized that was you.... Was like, how does he know what I call my car........hmmm.

so you strictly talking about boosted cars? i was talking about N/A cars as well. the S/G car i drove ran better in the cooler months down here near sea level, we were always having to adjust the throttle stop during the cooler months.

I can't speak to N/A cars in other areas. All of my experience has been with boosted applications in other areas of the country. The impact won't be near as dramatic in a N/A vehicle.

Well, since I am comfortable in the fact I cant beat you and C&C has been canceled, I'm going to try to make it out to the car show in the woodlands Saturday and the woodlands meet on Sunday.

Sunday- going to head out early though. Got to get my Football/beer fix.

Lets meet up.

Actually i need to check the TPE boards and see what's up this weekend as well.
