Hell 11 years ago my 99 trans am with air lid and 85mm mass air and a 100 hp dry shot went 11.40s at 122mph in a stock a4 no stall, no gears nothing just nitto drag radials and subframe connectors. The car had full interior and no weight reduction. The car didn't even have a tune. So the blown 5.0 doesn't impress me.

The car moves out, can't deny that. But Nickleback in the background makes the video queer.

Must be nice to just make up your own history and actually believe it. L98 350 TPI IROCs and GTA's ruled the streets in stock form from the late 80's until the LT1 came out. The last time a Mustang was relevant was '87 (except for Termi's).
Good for them that they finally put out a mainstream car that is actually worth talking about. As for the guy with the sticker on his car, that's just ignorant and he'll be getting his a$$ handed to him on a regular basis by people wanting to prove what a tool he is.

Wrong. You make it sound like you saw IROCs and GTA's at every stop light, a car you see once in a while isn't considered one that "rules the streets". Make up my own history and believe it? Come on now, don't be blind. Since a lot of guys use the "Oh Ford always has to use a special edition Mustang to compete with the Camaro/Firebird", I am talking about your run of the mill/lightly modded GT/LX (notch or hatch) against your run of the mill lightly modded Camaro/Firebird. The reason I say lightly modded is because nobody ever kept them stock, but you could still use the stock comparison.

It might not impress you, but it would beat the car you just spoke so highly of.

i saw this exact same car @ sar about 3 weeks ago and its best time was 11.4@117,these were his mods at the time

x pipe
cat back
4000 stall
gears(i think 4.10)
tune

stock cai,tb,manifolds
mild w.r(no pass seat,backseat,spare,swaybar)

i would say a stock 5.0 is even with a bolton ls1,it will be up to the driver.
bolton to bolton new 5.0 wins out

ls1....350-360rwhp/35500lbs
5.0...405-415/3700

You ever heard of a Buick Grand National? They raped 350 Irocs on a daily basis back in the late 80's.
