Yeah, well this time it's beating my *** around Indianapolis oval track....sad, you'd figure a 1200hp Bugatti would be able to at least keep up with a 900hp rally car

Consider that the Escudo only weighed 800kg (1763lbs) and the Bugatti is 2035kg (4486lbs)... That is 1.125 HP/kg for the Escudo to a mere 0.59HP/kg for the Veyron.

How many laps though? Although the power to weight and ridiculous gearbox of the Escudo should have it accelerate very quickly, unless they took off the giant wing I don't think it should go quite as fast as the Veyron. What speed are you hitting in the Veyron and how much are you losing by?

I will tell you that often times there are simple things that you can do that greatly affect the races in GT... buying crazy overpowered cars works most of the time, but in the races with more parity a subtle change can make a huge difference... In GT3 I had a lot of difficulty with the Cote d'Azur race in the Formula GT series because I just could not make as many laps on my tires as the lead car...in fact it ended up being 1 more pitstop for the whole race and so I would lose by a little less than the time it took to pit. I added 1 pt to traction control and ended up with a slightly better pit schedule and won by a very large margin.

Obviously this is going to be different but look at gearing and downforce. Also if feasible think about attempting to bump-draft the number 3 car to stay closer to the Escudo... if you can stay relatively close behind him then you should have the advantage bc you can draft him and overtake at the end.

there is no keeping pace with the Escudo in the Veyron.. mine weighs in at a little over 1400kgs still...3 or 4 of the cars in that race out accelerate the Veyron by a vary large margin.....saving up for a damn F1 car just for that race......10million here I come.

Pretty much.....they used to have bonus races in the seasonal events that would give you a ton of XP....not sure if it's still the same as I haven't played in awhile

I must say, i have loved GT when there was only N64 and PS, but now with Xbox in the game, i got away from the PS all together with their driving games, i loved Sega GT, it was bad ***, and Forza made me say, to hell with GT, now that GT5 is out, it still bothers me as mentioned, 50 different of the same damn car, but this is what i am waiting on:

Eh, it looks ok I guess. Lol. Let's hope GT6 can maybe get somewhere like that. And include the cars they left out.. (ws6,ctsv,etc.) I'll keep playing GT5 til Battlefield 3 comes out (Oct. 25), then it'll take a crowbar to get me out off my PS.
