Default Where is the door sensor on our cars?

The one that controls the dome lights. Where exactly is it, and what does it look like?

Open the door and look when the latch would go in on the door itself. On the end of that inside the door is when the plug is.

Ummm, I'm pretty sure it's a plunger type switch in the jam near the hinges. Look for the rubber tube/corregated surrounding it. When the door is shut this switch is pressed and the dome light goes off - if that is what you are looking for?

Well I wonder if mine fell off. A few days ago I noticed something rattling around when I would close my door. Now the sound is gone, and my dome lights stay on when I close the door whereas they used to turn off.
