you either have an extremely obese pit bull, or are exaggerating on the weight...

or maybe you have an American Bulldog and think it's a pit.

wrong

the blue pit is mainly for show. it's massive muscles, head and shoulders are what makes it attractive to families that want a massive/scary looking family dog. those dogs have had most of the agression bred out of it - like an LS1 GTO HAHAHAHA !!!!!! these pits are primarily the Razor's Edge bloodline.

the blue whaler are bred primarily for looks and temperament.

a 25-30lb pit from the 80's would dismantle a 90lb blue pit.

pretty much the same dog with A LOT of the agressive/game qualities bred of it.

Negative, he is 100% red nose. Saw his parents on site when he was purchased. His dad was 130lb. And last week at the vet, he weighed 113, so I'll let you be the judge of the obesity. Vet said he may widen out another 10-15lb tops, but he is about as tall as he is going to get. He is currently 20 months old. Will be 2 in May, so still may fill out a little more. Just out of curiosity, what do you think a healthy Pit should weigh?

It amazes me how people can blame the dog. I don't care what breed a dog is the owner is who molds and shapes the dogs behavior. I I don't train dogs for a living but have done wonders with my dogs. The problem lies with people getting pets that do not have the time or knowledge of how to handle them. They think that they can take care of them selves. Well they can but they will start acting like an animal that takes care of its self (IE: wild dog/aggressive). If pet owners would take the time to work with their animals and establish themselves as the dominate one/ pack leader we would not see problem dogs.

The most aggressive dog i have ever seen was between a German Sheppard and an Akita. These particular dogs were brought up to protect their owners and property though.

It is truly amazing how a humans actions can affect a dog. Fix the human and the dog will follow.

I have heard the same thing from that pit rescue show on TV, simply because they are so popular that many are products of poor breeding. Nothing wrong with blue pits, poor breeding and socialization will make any dog unfriendly. I don't give **** if it's a pit bull or lab.

50-70lbs and typically the blues and whites have the most health issues (80% or more white)... bad hips, deafness, irregular build (short, 'squatty' with outward pointing elbows). Doesnt mean theres anything wrong with those colors, just be aware. And, yes, it took a lot of inbreeding to get consistent colors but a good breeder will recognize flaws and will take necessary measures to assure those traits arent passed along

here's mine. AKC registered Champion American Staffordshire Terrier... he gets mistaken for a Pit Bull often
