I still think the facts are skewed about what exactly happened at that race the guy was killed. I also like the fact that Thermos is at the forefront with a "new valve" to help keep accidents from happening. People will buy into anything if you scare them enough.

so the government is gonna drive the price of a kit to 6,000 bucks
to ensure that every hose and fitting is certified???? what about the
cat engines i work on that have injection pressure in the 5,000 to
25,000 PSI range. we had to take a safety course and if we dont
follow proper procedure guess whose finger gets cut off. maybe the
government should add $100,000 to the price of a new machine so i
dont crack a line loose while the engine is running....

ron white says it best.....you cant fix stupid.

Last time i checked, Drag racing isn't necessarily the safest sport in the world. **** happens. Top fuel cars literally blow to pieces all the time, are they going to take away nitromethane?

Anti-hot rodding propaganda in its finest. I wonder how much the gov paid the owner of the famous N.O.S. brand to trash talk the nitrous industry? He already made his millions. Why should he care if he kills the nitrous industry? Why is it our problem they are idiots in this world?

BAN N.O.S.

I don't know if Nitro Dave's or Harris Speed Works has any affiliation with N.O.S, but I want to hear there opinions of this article.

Even with certified equipment, people will still do retarded things. Solves the problem? I think not...

That why I love my poor grammar and sentence structure. It was a ok read for me.. lol

So lets say worse thing possible happened and they did put regulations on it and have to get everything inspected.. Where would that leave us pre-law nitrous guys? Would our kits then become "illegal"?

I've watched guys heat bottle up with torches for years and years.. I understand the whole intergrity of the bottle argument. I just think that if your smart about it and just dont let it sit in one spot for long periods then it will be fine.. Evenly displace the heat across the bottle. Sure the flame may be 350* but that doesnt mean its going to get the bottle there if you are running it all around the bottle and not just sitting in one spot..

idk..

/end rant.

This is one of those scenerios where mankind can really contribute to the purification of the Gene pool. Some do it by being born and some by eliminating themselves from it.

This is a simple fix; dont drop your bottle like you wouldnt drop a baby and if you have dropped a baby before then you shouldnt mess with NAWZ and dont use a torch buy a heater blanket.....problem solved.

Another reason stroker motors FTW. I tried nitrous and thought it was completely retarded and I had 4,000 bucks into the kit. I pulled it off and sold it 2 months after getting it installed. Not my cup of tea, never was.

A 100-150 shot is retarted. When you move to 300+ THEN it's worth the investment!
