Exhaust is done, I made the Y-pipe and used the 3" exhaust pipe off of my old black truck and a muffler from my old black truck on it. I modified a factory hanger to mount it.

Made the shifter mount today. It screws to the factory shifter boot location and covers the big hole in the floor.

Well, mine is fine, the converter is too tight, so Jegs is cool enough to take it back and give me a larger unit.

Just a future reference. You can use a corvette accessory drive which relocates the a/c and give more clearence between radiator and then you dont have to notch your frame. Looks good. i was thinking about droping a ls/t56 in my xtreme but decided to get ride of it for a turbo hayabusa..

I know about the vette acc drive, the ac is in relatively the same place and you still have to notch the frame unless you get the a/c relocation bracket from kwik performance. this is a budget build and we were trying to spend as least as possible, getting a c5 vette acc drive would have been almost as much as the engine itself. so the truck acc work fine.

its not my truck, if it were then yes i would slam it, but it is a work truck right now and will be that way for a while. it was either do the swap or get another truck and truck note. now he has a good running truck that is paid off. the fuel pump that is in it right now is the stock (prolly factory) 2.2L pump non flex fuel. we are prolly gunna put one of the new aeromotive in tank pumps in it, get it ready for future mods.

Also I had a guy call me and asked me if I wanted to do another ls1 swap in a s10. I told him I don't have the time. If you want I can give you his # if you want to do another one.

Just an update....

11 months later the truck still runs strong. Tim (the owner), found a factory center console with a floor shifter and we installed it and took the 1/4 stick out. All the gauges work except the water temp. All that is needed is a metric sending unit to put in the passenger cyl head. The 4L60 is acting up when it gets hot, it needs a bigger trans cooler. The a/c still isn't hooked up but he has everything to hook it up, just need to mock up the lines and make a few custom fittings. He is using the sway bars off of my old truck (Xtreme S10 sway bars)
He bought my old QA1 front coil overs. Those will get installed when he gets everything to rebuild the front end. It still needs a tune, it's been running on the base tune this whole time. The cooling system was redone, the radiator was too thick. He put a 5th gen Camaro water pump on, a stock 4.3 radiator and 2 bad *** spahl fans. Now cooling is not an issue. When we both get some time off we will tackle these few remaining bugs.
