I live two houses down from a very busy 4 way stop. In the past two years my Vette has been in some stage of disassembly most of the time. I work on it pretty much every day a little at a time. You can guarantee that at least once a day someone will stop there look over and see me working on my car and rev their junk and peel out from the stop sing.

Hey bud, how is that LS swap coming? I hear yah on the rev thing..If I have the garage open, its guaranteed some shitbird in a turd will throw a rev when they pass the house.

yes sir. but its not their fault. every time i see a regular cts, its one of two kinds of people. old and/or black. old people dont wanna race anything. and the black people ive seen have either left it the way it was or put on rims that cant be raced on 
. its a cheap luxury car.

Just so you know it isn't the wastegate that is popping. Those are Blow of Valves. I had a couple try that **** with me and I just did it back to them and the look on their face was priceless. They had the O'**** look.. hahaha
I don't really have anyone try to **** with my car on the road. Every once in a while I would get an F-body rev up on my going the oposite direction but they never try to get some.

then the other day im at a stoplight and some neon makes the left trying to beat the red, he floors it then i hear PAP PAP PAP PAP and see a bunch of smoke.

Sorry dude, I can't see you're logic there. An Evo with light mods will beat a stock C5 (non-Z06) in most scenerios, especially from a dig if the C5 doesn't have very sticky tires. The STi, I sold was good for mid-high 11's in as-daily-driven trim. Both STis and Evos stock are good for 13.2 @ 104 and better, which is about where a stock C5 is. In short, it seems a good match to me.
The guys I find annoying are those that have obviously slow cars:
-Any guy in a Honda with just cut springs, gutted interior, and loud muffler. That's not fast and they should know that.
-Any guy with any car that has no more than exhaust and intake work pushing up to a car that he should know has more power in stock form than his car does with mods.
-Any guy that wants to race again after getting obliterated.
-Any guy that uses flashers, especially when he was really loosing, but you decided not to dip through traffic.
-Any guy with an annoying high pitched buzzing exhaust. I don't care if his car has a fully built engine with turbos and nitrous. I won't race him simply because I would have to hear that noise even louder.
But more annoying that slow cars that want to race are people in powerful cars that drive under the speed limit. WHY DID YOU BUY THE FREAKING AMG VERSION???!!!!!!
I hate diesel vehicles too. I won't race'm. Even if you beat'm, if you slow down, they'll fly by and you have to smell'em.
Almost forgot those guys that you beat and they do everything to avoid looking at you afterwards. When I had a modified WRX (before the faster STi that I sold), a guy and his girl in a pre-1999 Mustang GT kept guesturing to race me. I ignored him for quite a while (residential area, but late at night) then decided to give him what he wanted. We started from a roll of about 30 to about 70 and I shut it down to 35 since I already had a couple cars on him. He wanted some more, so we did it again with the same result, but this time he didn't slow down until he came to a red light about 1000ft ahead of me and stopped. I figured I'd really show him up from a dig so I sped up to get to the light. Dude saw me coming and ran the light to get away. My jaw dropped.
