Default Emissions help

I have a 2000 M6 Z28....thinking about ordering ARH headers without the bullshit EGR and AIR on them. My question is can I still pass inspections if I just have the code tuned out? BTW I live in Harris county. THNX

I would say it depends on the inspector. Some will do a full look and see if all the emision stuff is there. Some will open the hood and close it, without really looking. As long as you dont have a SES light on you will probably not have a problem. The car does not need a sniffer test. I live in Brazoria County though.

You can't fail it if it wasn't originally equipped with it.

Like other people said, all depends on the inspector. Your car doesn't require **** probing and will pass the computer test as long as the codes are tuned out. I'll be removing mine soon as well because I'm tired of dealing with them. My AIR check valve took a dump on me the last 2 years RIGHT before inspection time. And my EGR broke right before last years inspection as well. I think my emissions is cursed.

As long as 6 out of 8 monitors are set when they scan it you will pass. If 6 are not set, they will deny the inspection and tell you to get repairs done to set the monitors.
