I'm the Assistant Manager at AMF Clear Lake lanes, and we're trying to get people to come out and bowl. If I can get about 20+ of us to meet out there one night, I can do something called an open house, which is where everyone gets 2 hours of bowling with shoes and ***** included for free!

We have a full bar and cafe, so the more drinkers that show up, the better! (although you have to pay for that) If we all have a good time, maybe we could even start a muscle car league. Now THAT would be bad ***!

If anyone's interested, please post up and let me know. If enough people do want to come out, we can figure out a date and time to do it. Hey, it's free bowling. What have you got to lose?

EDIT: Oh, and guys, feel free to bring your wives/girlfriends. (although if you have both, I wouldn't recommend bringing them at the same time) If you have kids that are a little older (around 15+) feel free to bring them too. If we were to make a league out of it, we don't want little kids on it with adults or anything. I think this could be a bad *** way for us all to meet up and hang out without standing outside in the heat and humidity looking at cars for hours.

I think that would be pretty fun. My wife and I just moved back into the Clear Lake area also. We always had fun bowling.

It's quite a drive to clear lake but do Ls1tech members get a discount I would love to but I usually work from 2am till noon LOL. Hope it works out man!

So I have a few of you that are interested. I need some more people, come on. This could be awesome. A lot of you go to weekly car meets religiously, why not try something new?

As for a time and date, would most of you be good during the week at night? Say around 7:00 or 8:00 pm? Or possibly Sunday?

No reason you can't still be part of the league if one gets created. If you can't show up one night to bowl, you can always come do something called a post bowl whenever you have some time.

If we do it on sunday, it can be pretty much any time throughout the day. Oh, and I'm not too good at bowling either. I used to be on a youth league 12 years ago and I was really good then. I just purchased a nice ball and some shoes. I want to get back into it.

I'm off today, but I'm going to go pick my ball up from the pro-shop. I'll talk to my GM and see what day we can do it. Sunday would be good EXCEPT we have no bartender that day, and I definitely want our bartender to be there when you guys are there. Maybe I can get him to come in for a few hours that day.

If you don't want to start a league but still want to come to the open house, feel free. I would LOVE to ultimately start a league with you guys, but the open house is more or less something different for us all to do rather than the same old car meets.

Hell, we even have a saturday youth league if you're looking for something to keep your kids busy on the weekend...

ALSO, since we are technically in Houston, it's a non-smoking center. So you don't have to worry about smoke or anything bothering you or your family. Now if you're a smoker, everyone just smokes out front or right out one of the side doors, so it's not really much of a problem.
