Trade a built '71 Chevelle SS for a 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera?
My dad has a bad *** '71 Chevelle that he's spent the past couple of years building. With nitrous it makes around 1300rwhp. Well a doctor saw it the other day and really wants it. He offered my dad a straight up trade for his pristine '10 Porsche 911 Carrera.
I think that would be an awesome car to have, but at the same time, how many 1300+hp Chevelles do you see around? My old man is sort of on the fence about it. What would you do?

would you rather drive a plastic toy thats going to be worth like 5k in 10 years or timeless american muscle car that you built with your own two hands? the porsche might make a cute daily driver, but for a fun car i say keep the chevelle hands down. resale value aside, the chevelle will be loads easier and cheaper to repair than the porsche. and if he wrecks the porsche? forget about it. wreck the chevelle, just pull the dents lol

Slash it depends what your dads wanting to do. Them 911's go for some coin so if he's looking to get out or build something else and wants to get some money it might be worth considering. How much do you think your dad has spent on his car. The 911 can go for like 70,000.

71-72 Chevelles don't go up in value that well. Least popular of the model years, even though I think they look good. Porsche 911 also don't get that cheap, especially the newer ones with the fancy technology in them. Ever priced out classic 911's? They are worth more than 71-72 Chevelles are.

Plus even if its new a standard 911 is so not worth it, he would be getting the shaft.

I would say let your dad drive the 911, I remember back in like 03 I drove a 911 turbo and it was very uncomfortable for me I am kind of a big guy 6'1 240lbs. The pedals were offset to the right a little bit and it was very cramped.
