Good to be a Texan
Shot 243 out of 250.
I tested with a Walther PPS 9mm and I fell in love.
I currently have a Taurus Millennium PT111 9mm that I'm looking to sell or trade + cash.
Any idea where to look local? I compare on budsguns and alot of places can't come close.
I tell everyone to wait for a gun show. There are not many deals left at gun shows anymore but you will not buy a pistol cheaper any were else. You can find good deals on the net but by the time you pay shipping and the transfer fee it is not such a good deal any more.
The PPS from budsguns is $578.00 with free shipping and no tax then you can have it shipped to a ffl for $15.00. Then I just found out there is a $50.00 rebate on Welther guns so looks like I will be at $543.00

About the shooting thing. They say 10% of the population have that warrior mindset and 7% of those are criminals.
I would say 75% of my chl classes has never owned a gun much less touched one.
After this class my mindset has changed really. Before you would think ""if they rob me I'm going to shoot them there not taking my stuff" When in fact it needs to be ""here is my wallet"" and shoot them in the back as they leave.
I listed it for $280 on texasguntrader I have never had a jam or misfire ever. I just want the PPS lol.
Bought the Walther PPS 9mm from budsguns for $578.00 shipped no taxes. $6.00 insurance. $15.00 FFL Transfer fee so paid a total of $599.00 out the door.
Walther is offering a $50.00 rebate on new guns. So with that and the $300.00 I got for the old gun it was a $249.00 upgrade
I carry an xd sc 40, best compromise in size and knock down power out there imo.
You're an idiot! end of story.
FN 5.7 with the correct round will do better but you don't see people carrying them.
I carry an xd sc 40, best compromise in size and knock down power out there imo.
The reason 9mm is used so prevalently is due to the bean counters, its not the best gun for the job but it gets the job done and is cheaper. Same thing with military body armor, the cheapest bidder got the contract and now its been proven the BILLIONS of dollars spent on it were wasted since they don't pass the ballistics deflection test.
Also the DOD has a contract out for a new sidearm in 40 caliber, now whether it not it will go through who knows. I haven't paid attention in a couple years to see how it ended up but it was a reason for the redesign of the xdm to have an active safety.
At the end of the day the most important characteristic of a gun is comfort. If it feels natural and fits your hand good you will shoot good. A bazooka does you no good if you can't shoot it. I can't even begin to count how many people I've seen at the range with horrible posture and technique. My chl class was downright scary, and I actually had to take the pistol away from the lady next to me because she was muzzle flashing me so much right before she was called out in front of the entire firing line by the instructor. Some people just aren't meant to shoot a firearm.
