Default GM's 5yr/100,000 mile warranty question

does GM cover an ac compressor if it makes a "rattling" under the 5yr/100,000 mile warranty. my girlfriend has a 09 pontiac g6 and when at idle in gear. anyways ac cools fine it's just annoying more than anything. if someone could let me know, thanks.

No, only internal components with regard to powertrain and drivetrain. Unless she purchased extended GMPP or another warranty.

What's the mileage on the car... It may still be covered under the bumper to bumper.

nah i dont think so. it has 635xx on it right now. she just bought it used, and to be honest i actually like it, im 6'2" and i fit very well in it and it gets about 20mpg in the city, other then the compressor making some noise it's a pretty nice car. it has onstar(kinda lame) sat radio remote start and all that.

If she bought it from a Chevy/GM dealer, take it to the service writer and see what he/she can do. The dealer has customer loyalty programs they can use. My wife is on a first name basis with our local dealers service team, they always go out of their way to help her.
