I hope you have a tool to compress the springs, depending on which ones you have. I had sportlines, and got the tool from o'reilly, the coils were to close to get it in there, so I ended up paying 100 to have springs & shocks installed.

I always just take the spring/shock assembly off of the car and run them up to a shop and have the springs swapped out. Usually runs about 50 bucks. Rest is a piece of cake

This^.
I've used a borrowed Autozone and O'Reily's spring compressor (its free) and it is a PITA. The $50 for someone else to do this step is well worth it. Plus the passenger side nut on top is usually rusted all to hell and has to be cut off. Hope you have new shocks too.
I've used NTB in the past. I marked it all the first time so everything would line up, but I've been able to rotate the shorter spring on the assembly to line things up too.

But it is rewarding on the handling and braking side of performance.

you keeping the stock shocks? or going to adjustables? i just did my car... the rears were super easy... the fronts wont be too bad if you're just doing regular shocks/springs... but i did A-arms and adjustable's, so it was a pain. i ended up breaking a harbor freight spring compressor doing the fronts. rented one from autozone that was 10x better.

If you've got shocks, springs, and new uppers, i'll put the assembly together and install (rears too) for $150

I used that coat hanger trick on the spring that holds your door open - one wire broke and bounced no fewer than three times from ceiling to floor before taking a chunk out of my 2" mdf workbench. Also chipped the cement and sheetrock where it bounced

A compressed suspension spring can easily remove limbs and kill someone...please dont do it

Agreed. Coat hangers are sketchy. There is a reason humans invented spring compressors.

Santana, if you can bring it by the shop we can do it for you. We can go ahead and bleed that clutch while it's here. We have a hydraulic spring compressor here.

Ive used coat hangers and a torch to weld **** together. But not to do some **** like that. I likes my teeth where they are. Pretty sure a runaway compressed spring uppercut is no bueno!
