Wheel hop is death. Did your aftermarket bushings help?

After 7 pages on the ford fast list 11.61 was the fastest time and a hand full of 11.70's. Thats about what the camaro is doing.

Hard to say. I put new bushings and lowered the psi to 25 and slipped the clutch a little more. The end result was less wheel hop almost none. 2-3 cherps from the tires.

Sucks they gave these cars more power then made them overweight. In the longrun they dont seem to perform any better than the 98-02 cars stock for stock or mod for mod.

these 5.0 with boltons can have some big mph,i would put them close to c5zo6,i know laugh and joke at me but a well setup 5.0 can and will hang with a well setup c5zo6.
hell the fastest bolton c5zo6 is running 10.8@123 and theres been a couple 5.0 in the 10s

your comparing a 9-10 year old motor to a 1 year old motor.......only reason times are similair is because of the weight ratio. A more current approach would be to compare to some ls3 vettes..

true its an old motor an as far as the ls3 goes....i guess it all in the combination cause the quickest bolton c6 belongs to a ls2.106@126.

to the op stock for stock mustang is a little faster but a well setup 5.0 vs a well setup ss.its not going to be good for that camaro at all

This is a straight up drivers race. The mustang needs to ditch those 20's though. Put any mods on the 5.0 and its a wrap as long as its equal drivers.

I'll give you this, your 10 year old camaro was a fast *** car when came out. No denying that. The 05-10 mustangs were slow. The new 5.0s are bringing the competition back. The new Camaro is about equal, heavier but with more power. Both are faster than a stock LS1 if you could find one.

I ran a 13.284 on my 20's with a 3000' DA. Stock A6 5.0
Link to slip
Atlanta Motor Dragway, you can verify the DA with the time and date on the slip. This was my first and best run in the car, ever. Had 1k miles on it, owned it for less than 3 weeks. Left off idle. Every run after that I tired power braking and ruined my 60ft. Went from 2.0 to 2.2.

Here's a run on vid. 60' was 2.1. 1.8-1.9 is average on stock 18's

Youtube

I'm currently gunning for 11.99. If you like, I'll post back when next time I hit the track, should be next month.

Mods will be Bama tune, O/R H, CAI, LCA with relo-brackets and some 275/40/17 MT ET Street Radials.

reminds me of the mach-1 vs SS threads LOL a few people ran 12's in both cars (stock) but most where 13.0 - 13.5.

only thing different is these cars have ~100 hp more and run the same times!
