Got info on last event but decided not to go, just seemed like a bunch of stuck up a holes.I prefer f bodies and vettes also but would not knock other people for there preferences because it is bad for our hobby, sport, or profession. Not everyone can afford a nice vette and would not be in the hobby if not for lower budget cars. Most of the rich guys from our meets can't even hold a conversation about there cam cause they don't know. I am just saying there is room for everyone in this industry and all should be welcome. I am glad you won't be posting on here anymore.

The last event I went to there were PLENTY of various cars out there. Everyone was respectful, I had some issues with my car and a few guys offered to help out and correct my problem.
I dont think someone needs to be a grad. from S.A.M. to attend these meets
"... Most of the rich guys from our meets can't even hold a conversation about there cam cause they don't know..."
I tend to believe most, if not all, are passionate about cars in general, then there are some who are douche's. It happens.
Coffee & Cars much? as in, Have you attended a C&C? a Whole gamut of cars there.

To most I am rich, but that doesn't matter. The reason it is invite only as I was told by the host is to keep it "rice, domestic free", which is a racist *** statement. I am just saying as a real car guy there is room for everyone from the rich guy that can barely pump his own gas in his 10' Z06 to the 16 year old poor kid that built his entire car in his driveway with his own two hands on lawn boy money. Statements like only HIGH PERFORMANCE CARS CAN PHOTO SHOOT **** me off. Just my opinion though.

Clientele expectations are above average and you should dress accordingly.
Nothing wrong with setting expectations if your organizing an event.
Toys for Tot's or Birthday present... if your attending a party expectations are set. Dont show up empty handed and don't spend less than $20 on a gift.
SO. If the expectations make you uncomfortable, you have choices.
I think your OP comment was a bit rash and overly stereotypical. That is not what I experienced.
That is like saying If I drink alcohol, I'm an alcoholic.
Or
If I try a little weed, I'm a pot head
They are uneducated statements.

Hell, I could show up with the Hubby's HHR SS (not stock) and I'm sure I'd be considered a ricer, even though I'm all Chevy.
But then again, most of the time I don't fit b/c I'm female, and I know a little too much for my own good.... IMO.

Lady3bglover, if you are talking about knowing a lot about cars your hubby is a lucky man.My wife is just as much a car buff as me.I am building her a modded 00' RS Z28. HHRs are not "ricers" and they would be welcome at any respectable car event even if it is not HIGH HP

Was wondering what would it take to get your panties tangled.. I never said you were uneducated. Interesting how you took that as an attack.
How about Sushi? Is that for bitches too?
escargot?
Is a fast 92/92 setup for bitches?
What other opinions do you have to things you don't understand?
PS. James Bond is a cool MOTHER ******!

I say this with absmile on my face, my panties are not in a tangle. They fit quiet nicely. James Bond is a fantasy, sorry to break your heart. Once again, my simple point is this guy says this meet is for "high end high performance folks"(yuppies), and real car guys don't act like that. If the event is not like that he should not make statements as such. You said my statements were uneducated such would in fact imply they came from an ignorant lonesome I took it as such. Anyway this conversation is getting old so I will read your last response and that is all.PS MARTINI bars are are still for bitches LMAO

- Everyone is allowed to have their opinion. However, don't bash people or a event you know nothing about. Because that shows no class and no education...
- Please do not hijack this thread.
- Emails and PM's replied.

I know the statement you made "this is for high end high performance folks" is a lame thing to say and I am referring to that comment which was made in this thread so I replied to it in this thread. Don't worry this is my last visit because I was just wondering what you had to say about it. Just as thought your opinion of what class is is not the same as mine. Education has nothing to do with it. That is all.LMAO

I think they are trying to make this an invite only to keep the stupid people that like to talk ****, do burnouts, fight, and just be overall asses out of here. If you go out to some local meets with the younger crowd you will know what I am talking about. Not everyone works on their own car. Some people pay others to do the work. Some people don't know what size turbo is best for a 370" motor but have the money and the desire to go fast. All different kinds of people is what makes this hobby fun.
