Need a good clutch
My clutch is starting to slip. It's a ram clutch in my 99 ta, what's a better clutch that is twin disc and affordable ? Any help is great so I know what I need to save for. Gonna have to park this thing if it gets to bad. This ram clutch has always shuttered since it was new. I hate it.

uhm no spec is garbage. period.
i'm trying out the new(er) ram 9.5 street twin and all new adj ram hydraulics. remember u get what you pay for, cheap and clutch should not be in the same sentence together.

another vote for Monster here, although I dont run their twin disk, they do make them. Been running the stg 3 for about 2 years now, no issues. Ive heard lots of good things about TDP but have no personal experience with them.

Never had any experience with Diamond but heard they were excellent
Installed several Monster Clutches and they seem very good. If I had a 6 speed car I would have a Monster in it.
I've had to replace several Spec clutches.

I've also used a Spec Stage 3 and it was great at handling 4500-5500 clutch dumps and was fantastic driving around town. Can't say I agree that they are trash but maybe others have different experience.

I put a ls7 clutch on my z06 and it's been 5 years now and racing it from time to time, never slipped with me nor gave me any kind of trouble. And it's affordable, I suggest that you don't go with a aftermarket clutch assembly unless you are building the car in the future.

I'm going to suprise a few people lol! I will continue to run the Centerforce DYAD clutch. I have used a **** load of clutches spec.Ram.Textraillia Triple,Mcleod twin. I've driven the monster clutch in a couple of peoples cars, and it was comprable to the specs of the past that I had tried other than I think theres held better. The Centerforce clutch drives 100% like stock clutch but holds big power. I tested it to @1100rwhp and it did great just my .02 ofcourse not sure what kind of hp your making, but this clutch cost around 1500+ shipping I think mine was 156x to my door. These are hand build when ordered etc... Of course I have two Textrailia Triples and a Mcleod twin for sale that do drive good and hold, but they would be a second choice for me along with the Mcleod being choice number 3 lol! GL!

X4 on the Diamond clutch from TDP.
I bought a low milage used stage 3 and got almost 40k miles out of it. Worked well as a daily driver, and held what the 408 put down at the track dumping at 5k on cheater slicks.
