Default Daily Driver got Rear Ended

On my way home from work last night and was sitting at a light, a new Mustang pulled in behind me and a was hit from behind by a girl driving a Ford Focus which forced him into Rear ending me. the Mustang driver was a young mexican guy who didnt speak any english, had no DL and no Insurance. The girl who caused the accident had insurance and I made a claim last night. My car was my Daily Driver a 97 v6 firebird with about 110K miles on it. I drove it home, but when i checked it out this morning, I can see both rear quarter panels are crumpled up and the body is rubbing the Rear Wheel on the driver side. What are the chances they will total it? Any idea what I should expect?

I see totalled. The price to pull and weld on new rear 1/4s is pretty expensive

I had to delete my other post .. Looking at the damage more you might get away from it being totaled .... Just depends on what its going to take to fix the quarter panels.. and also hows the rear bumper look?

Are you hoping its totaled or just wondering?

No, the Officer that came was also Mexican and she was kind of protecting him, he gave me one name and gave her a different one, I had to insist that she write down his information for me as she didnt want me to have it cause she said he didnt cause the accident. How in the Hell this guy was driving a brand new Mustang with no ID and no INS, i have no idea.

I am hoping I can get it fixed as its my daily driver and saves me alot of money from not driving the WS6 60+ miles a day.

The Rear Bumber doesnt look too bad, just scratched up. The bottom of both taillight lenses are broken

The bumper covers are plastic. They generally pop back out after absorbing a hit and actually hide the real damage. You should open the hatch peel the carpet back and look at the damage in that area. My guess is that you will be surprised, seen this scenario too many times.

Just like it's funny she was texting?

Swings both ways.
