Bios wont boot

Bios wont boot

I tried unlocking some cores on
My set up:

MSI 890FXA-GD70
CPU: AMD Phenom™II X2 555 Black Edition

Earlier I was trying to unlock my cores in doing so i changed a setting to unlock setting to enable and a few other settings. I did get the computer back to where it will boot windows just fine but each time i try to enter bios it asks for what drive to boot from but does not allow me to choose bios just my hd.

Any ideas on how ill be able to get back into bios?

did that, now im finding out that my board doesnt like when i try to enable oc and core unlock

It probably doesn't like the core unlock. I have the same problem. I just set my cpu back to 2 core and run it at a stable 3.9GHz at 1.42v.

unfortunately its exactly that, i disabled everything i was doing except for the core unlock and what do you know, crashes every time. Im going to do some research and see if there is anyway i can get at least another core working properly

edit: found out im not among the few lucky ones' that have 1 or 2 cores that are able to be unlocked, time to buy quad core

You probably have a chip that core is no good.

Ya with those chips it was hit or miss if they will unlock, my old roommate did it and it fried his board lol

iv heard of that too and msi are known for exactly that. I wish i knew about that problem or I would have bought a gig or asus. Since the quads are cheap right now ill prob just buy that. My dual core pings the hell out while playing bf and stars wars the old republic
