I like the experience Delhomme brings.
Now that we have a backup/potential starter I now feel good about the post season.
3 Good things going for us.
1.Good choice on the backup/ potential QB (Great choice would have been Garcia)
2.Titans still have The Bills and the Saints to battle
3.Our record and schedule say good things when speaking of the post season.

The "one game at a time" cliche is pretty appropriate from here out. I think the Texans lose to the Falcons this week. Atlanta is pretty good, and Yates is going to have his hands full. I really hope Kubiak puts together a good offensive gameplan, as we showed last week that they cannot simply line up and run the ball into the pile and hope to win. Atlanta's offense is pretty stout, too, so the defense will be busy. This should be a good test for them.
I don't think we'll know anything about Yates until at least after the Cincy game. He showed a little spark when he came into the game last week, then Kubiak got worried about another QB injury and went almost all run.
I'm disappointed by these injuries, but the Texans took care of their business earlier in the season, so they have a little margin for error now. Still, all signs point to a one and done for them in the playoffs, provided they don't completely collapse between now and then.

Sunday is going to answer a lot of questions about yates. All the talking heads have nothing but good things to say about him. Of course he's a rookie and kubiak will probably have a pretty conservative game plan for him. He's going to have to make some throws at some point, atlanta is a playoff caliber team so I'm excited to see what he can/can't do.

i dont think that we are completely out of the atlanta game. granted i dont know much about atlanta. however if you think about it, their defense is going to have too much of a gameplan for yates except for preassure him. they have no idea what his strengths are. that alone helps us out. as long as we can get the running game going and get 30+ runs for atleast 150~ yards and our defesnse stays lights out we will be fine. im a little worried about this game and the bengals game. after that we should be good. but you never know, any given sunday in the NFL.
as far as jackson, he may not be the best cb in the nfl but atleast he has not caused us to loose a game. he may get burned once or twice but they keep rotating him out with jason allen which in my opinion sucks! he either gets burned or gets a INT. which is why i think people over look him, cause of his interceptions. but if they had a burned to interception ratio i guarentee you it would be bad. but now that i think about it, it was mainly in the beginning of the season when we lost those few games.

Atlanta will be tough, they have a pretty tough defense, but not as tough as the Jaguars IMO. They have a potent offense though, a lot of weapons. I'm expecting a loss here, but like you said any given sunday.

I see us more around 24-17... first few drives may stall out around the red zone when Arian gets us down there. Interesting to see what they'll dial up to confuse yates.
I've got big hope for this kid... he was able to win big games with NC. I think after this full week of practice to work and configure an offense for him to run he should really be able to settle in... hell with that rushing game you think almost anybody could :o
