Some jackass ran a redlight....

I think this is the most upset I have ever been in my life.

ouch, that totally sucks to start the new year off like that. no clue if it is totalled, but no matter what the outcome, be thankful that you are ok, and know the car can always be fixed or replaced....

Quite possible. Really hard to tell withoout tearing it down. But the front end is pushed over as you see the big gap fender to hood. Is the right fender gap closed? The driver side rail may be over. Good luck with your car. Full coverage?

If the inner fenders under that hood are bent, then I'd say yes. Most insurance companies will total out these 4th gens if there is more than $3-4K in damage.

Well Ins may total it but U could buy it back and replace the front clip and K frame? But that all of course depends on the subframe and if it got twisted...but I really have no idea just throwing that out there

Default My insurance

I just did $3900 damage to my 00' Z28 and my insurance covered it, no prob. They said they would fix up to $6k worth before total. Mine has 93k on the clock.

Bummer man, no matter if they total it or not it can be fixed I'm sure.

Just be glad your OK, it's just a car and cars are replaceable.

doesn't look good, but it depends how "deep" the damage is. You know that front bumper has a pretty large support stack on it before you get to he actual metal. You can bust that thing all to pieces and the metal would still be fine.

What concerns me is the broken fenders and the gap someone else noted.

+1 tho even if it's "totaled" it can be fixed. A v6 parts car will give you everything you need too so long as you don't have any damage to like the K member or something.

Good way to start to tell is if the doors open and close like they did. See if the windows seal up still and check the gap around the hatch and quarters. Check the tops too.

I did similiar damage to mine a few years ago and it was around $6K in damages. The car is worth more so I would think it would be fixed. The OEM SS hood was a big chunk of that.

I would put money on it being totaled. I bet the core support is tweaked.

That sucks bro. I use to love to see your car once in a while, for some reason I use to see your car more than any other LS1tech car. Gluck.

Ya I was worried about that but thanks for the support. Still waiting for insurance company to figure it out. Lucky I reacted fast enough to avoid me getting T-boned because the guy didnt even brake, and this leads me to believe he was txting because his light was red for at least 4 seconds
If it is I guess its time for a C6 or C5Z

if you were closer I'd say I've got a donor car with 1 good front fender and the structural parts if you need something chopped out/welded in, but I think you're too far away.

if you decide not to fix it up I'm sure you can get a good bit toward that c5/6 parting it out, but I imagine it'll be hard to part out a car you love like that.

I know that car very well! Id it's totaled make them replace it with the same car! Don't buy it back. That's more of a headache than you can imagine and it will never be the same. One of the cleanest fbodies in the area!
