Default Successful Carrer?

Update: Whoever followed this post it got pretty interesting and many people contributed on it, just want to update that I just finished my AA in Business hoping to go to my local university and getting a BA on either Business or another career, but still undecided if that's what I want to do lol

I've seen several people in LS1tech and it seems they all have some nice jobs or something because they can afford many things and seem to live really good? my point is what the hell do this people do LOL I want to do it to and have a nice life like this people

Define 'nice life' first. There are several people on here that are successful- but economical situations vary. I guess I am saying what are the goals and how much time are you willing to put in?

there are varying levels of success, some want money, some want family..... some start out in search for more $$ and start a big family so the $$ takes longer to accumulate.....

Anything engineering if you will be attending a university is, from what i read on this site, the way to go. If you dont want to attend school, you will have long hours and a tough road ahead if you're in search of the big figures at a young age..... unless you are one of the rare ones that is handy with business and a very dedicated hard worker.... Lots of ways to obtain money

Learn to spell career first, then stay in school. Engineering, Doctor, or Lawyer - the usual top three. Each of them take hard work and dedication, if it were easy everyone would be doing it and making good money.

I work on Abrams tanks in Iraq, I love it. The blessed few find a job that they love. If you find a job you love you will never have to work another day in your life. How could you not love tanks? Also I'm a **** star....

If you have the ability to effectively communicate to people ( while everyone believes they can, many can not ) and sell, you could always look into outside business sales.

Look in to the pay of a entry level engineer it's actually fairly good. I know I've considered using my gi bill to go back to school for some form of engineering degree. Only thing holding me back is I freaking hate math with a passion. It's not hard just don't care for it. So yeah lol

Did 6 months of school for computer programming and was bored with the class. Not to mention annoyed with the teacher accusing me of cheating. But that's another subject

I'm an ME and did this too, but I typiaclly only get pissed off when working on cars now, so I quit doing it! I can barely pull the strength to work on my cars anymore. I lost the love of it, and really just want to get the cars to where I want them - then drive the wheels off of them.

If you think the guys on tech are successful, try forums for other makes/models, such as Lambos, ZR1's, ect. Must be nice to track day a brand new M5 thats 1 week old off the lot.
