Some guys are really keen on launching their cars at 6,000 rpm and shattering axles or differentials. I like both types of racing.

Yeah, about 15 years ago MMA wasn't a legitimate sport, but boxing was. Look how that turned out.

Really though, a lot of people want to build a fast *** car.. and have it be fun to drive on the street, and be able to do more than go in a straight line for 10 seconds. It's nice to be able to go fast in a line, around curves, have a high top speed, AND be able to drive the car around with normal wear and tear situations. I want to spend more time in my car than it does in a trailer.

And yes, like I said.. I like both methods, I don't even actually roll race.. in fact I don't even race anymore at all really, I build my cars to be fun to drive.

To me part of racing is being able to launch your car.

I raced a turbo Civic the other day. He insisted we roll race because his car doesnt hook, I pulled 2 cars on him at 50 so then he changed it to 65. He still lost

I love watching vids of grudge matches from a dig. But all I see lately is roll racing . Very nice built cars but only roll racing ? I doubt is because there scared of breaking something with all the great parts now for our cars. Any body still like old school racing from a dig?
Although I do get laughs out of threads like this, the OP was simply asking if anyone still races from a dig and if anybody still likes old school racing from a dig. Pretty sure he doesn't care why people do rolls since he already knows why and stated it in the OP, much less which is better since he obviously prefers digs. So my answers are yes and yes .

With that being said........................

I was surprised that it stayed under control rather than get out of hand.
