Cool and welcome! I'm not military but from what my cousin told me 29 palms sux lol. he was stationed there 3 times so far and he has only been in the navy 5 years. haha shitty!

this place sucks ***, but i eventually got used to it. the fact that it sucks so bad here is a contributor to the quality of training and the mentality of battalions who deploy from here. by the time you get to afghanistan, you're like.... eh. it looks like home. haha

Well fort sam is on the opposite side of town where most of us hang out at, but so u wont have to ask later the legit hangouts are
Biff's burger joint on I35N on fridays (not sure which fridays I've never been)
Cars and Coffee-last saturday of every month on 1604/Blanco In the Panera Bread restaurant parking lot.
Gengis Grill (restaurant also on fridays cant remember what day)
On the opposite side of town are Womach Chevrolet out in castroville on every second friday from 6pm-10pm.
Hang out at the last hangout mentioned and you will hear about every small and local car show event throughout the year. Thanks for serving!
