I have seen this before on other carfax reports but how bad or does it effect the car? Im asking cause im looking at a cts-v thats located at Bonham Chrysler and it also says "corporate fleet" for first owner....

Damn it appears as though m&m auto just put in random miles --- 900, 1000, 1100, 1200.

I personally try to stay away from fleet/rental cars.

Well my other thought was maybe it was a assigned to a specific individual, and how would the dealership you work at go about appraising it? Theres two other v's im considering 1 is asking too much imo, the others in Houston which is 3 hours away from Dallas.

Happens all the time. Usually these oil change shops (jiffy lube) and sometimes dealerships do it. Its mainly from typing to fast or fat fingering while typing... Dealership/car lot can contact carfax and they will correct it. Looks like this lot was taking mileage off the trip and rounding off the numbers. Sounds shady...

IMO it is pretty clear from the CarFax that the M&M people have just been entering random mileage numbers in Aug-Oct 2010 as suddenly the miles jump from 1200 to 7K+ in just a week.

I, personally, wouldn't let the just the mileage inconsistency alone be a deciding factor.

A few different ways. Auctions/bookouts, I don't think the mileage inconsistency will effect it much. If you find a clean one a few hrs away for a decent price it may be worth the drive.
