Default Peyton's Passes 2 - Sept 22 - Kennedale, TX

NOW WITH CHINESE FIRE DRILL RACING!

http://www.facebook.com/events/497848880244505/

After a very successful July event where we raised over $1000, HelpPeyton.com and DFW Charity Racing present the second in a series of Peyton's Passes! We have learned from the successes and failures of the first Peyton’s Passes and are now presenting a more refined and expanded second event. It will be a night of racing, call outs, Chinese Fire Drills, and family fun at Texas Raceway in Kennedale, TX. $5 from every entry will go to the Help Peyton Fund. Below are the details of the event as of the time of writing. Please keep a check on our Facebook event page for the most up to date information and changes. While you are there, like us so you can stay informed of future events.

Date: September 22, 2012

Time: Entry starts at 7pm; Racing from 7:30-midnight

Where: Texas Raceway located at 3830 Kennedale New Hope Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060

Racing Events

Test and Tune: Run what ya brung! Throughout the night will be open racing. Race your mom’s minivan to the BBC on slicks. As long as the track OK’s it, you can race it. Line up against someone or just try to beat your time.

Racing League: $1 for each race to participate. Form into teams of any number and type of vehicles. May be friends or may be a club you are a part of. Then, you call out cars on other teams. If you win, you and your team gets a point. If you lose, you and your team lose a point. Simple as that. At the end of the League races, the racer with the most points will be crowned and the team with the most points will be crowned. There are bounties, points, bragging rights, and opportunities for smack talk available to those racers brave enough to take part.

Chinese Fire Drill Racing: $1 for each call out to participate. $5 for the bracket. The classic stop light game has returned to racing. Two teams of 4 race to half track, get out, run around two times, get back in, and race to the finish.

This just in, Texas Raceway has decided to open the gates early for us at 5:30 and start racing at 6. They have some racers that would prefer more daylight to prepare for another race. More racing = more fun. Because of the late decision, we will not start the Chinese Fire Drill bracket until after 7 to give those that may not get this a chance to participate. But if you want to do some TnT, maybe some Bracket racing, or just hang out with DFW Charity Racing for a little longer then come on out. The new times are 5:30 - midnight. Please come out if you can and help support a great kid. Invite your friends if you haven't already. Even if you can't make it maybe one of your friends can.

In a surprise and awesome move, Texas Raceway has issued a challenge to everyone. If you show up, they will match every entry donation dollar for dollar. That means instead of $5 to the charity from every person that enters, it is now $10. $10 to DFW Charity Racing and the Help Peyton campaign for every person that walks through the gate. Please come out tonight and show support even if you don't race.

In addition, we have at least a $25 Cabelas Gift Card, a $25 Home Depot Gift Card, and a $50 Visa Gift Card that will be raffled away tonight at Peyton's Passes 2. Come by the DFW Charity Racing table to purchase your raffle tickets. $1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 6 tickets, or $20 for 30 tickets.

A big think you to everyone that came out and supported us. We ended up raising $1948 for DFW Charity Racing and the Help Peyton campaign. We couldn't have done it without the awesome generosity of our host, Texas Raceway.

The Chinese Fire Drill races were really fun and you missed an entertaining evening if you didn't get to make it. It will defiantly not be the last time we do them. I am collecting photos and video and should be posting some later today.

Thanks everyone for helping us make as awesome event for an awesome kid.
