Default What do you consider fast for a daily driver?

I know Houston is known for our high hp street cars. But I was wondering what, in your opinion, is fast as far as daily drivers go?

Well, my C6Z is MY dd. It's pushing close to 600rwhp. As far as power to weight goes, I think it's pretty quick for a dd. Definitely easy to merge with it, lmao.

Previous vette had about 430 rwhp on the juice and it was slow. Sold it looking for something faster to dd and just haven't been able to pull the trigger on anything yet. I think 500+ in a vette or 600+ in an f-body are reasonable.

Depends on you're needs for the dd. as far as I'm concerned my 09 civic si is a decent (speed wise) daily. I get 30+ mpg's and it's fun to drive and cheap to insure. Not gonna get whip lash from it but it gets the job done.

With the technology we have available to us these days at a minimal cost I would say high 9s. No matter how you get there via nitrous or boost, high 9s and retain an o/d tranny, a/c and street car luxuries around the 3400lb to 3500lb range is very doable.

I have a full weight 02 ws6 for my daily.. Im adding full exhaust and a 150 hit and will consider that fast for a true 100% daily that retains all comforts.
Why? It will beat just about any other daily i run into, and a vast majority of weekend warrior type cars.. If not ill just get the pewter car out. lol

I think that the answer to this question depends a bit on where you live and what kind of budgets people have. I'd say that anything in the 11s and low 12s is respectable, but any dd in the 10s or below is very fast.

I'm doing 600 on spray but the MS4 cam is getting on my nerves.... might go with a smaller cam. Props to the guys pushing past 600 as DD's.

For me a 12 sec car is a fast daily but I live in houston and know it... I don't challenge many people here.

My daily is a ford 500 (company car) and might.... Might hit low 21's in the 1320.

Budget for a single person is irrelevant when talking speed.

Fast is fast no matter what one makes or put into their car. Could it be done for less? Sure... use mild steel instead of stainless.. But then it isn't the same quality.

High 10s to mid 10s id consider impressive for a TRUE daily. I mean one thats actually driven all the time not just once in a while.

It seems like a mid 12 second car is slow now.

700 rwhp in a daily driver is enough for me.

My old GTO was doing 570/640 Sold it and went to a
2012 Mustang with D1 Procharger(11.4psi) and a bunch of other stuff maybe mid to high 600hp car. Both were awesome Daillys.

Now im on to my C5Z with just a CAI........Needs more mods it feels slow. Good daily but the roads around here suck.
