Default How do you carry your CCW and what is your CCW?

I am in the market to get myself and my wife a concealed carry weapon. I have been around weapons most of my life but not hand guns. So the biggest thing I am asking is what do you recomend for a CCW? I was looking at a taurus 9mm or .380 for the both of us. What do you carry and what is your review?

My next question is where and how do you carry(guys)? and also how do you(women) or your wife carry? The only thing that I have found that seems to work best is a undershirt that has pockets in it but that would basically require me to wear a button up shirt at all times to have the weapon accessible. The other option i seen is a little "cell phone" case.

Thoughts and reviews?

Thanks guys

Any weapom that makes you feel secure is a good choice, conceal it in the car because in Texas that is legal.

The glove box, center console, under the seat, you name it where ever you feel is best. Remember, gun control is hitting your target!

If you are considering .380's, take a look at the Taurus 738 TCP. Here's mine.

Very concealable.

I held that Taurus 738 tcp but it just felt really small. Is it common for a CCW to only have a two finger grip leaving my pinky dangle? That just felt really awkward for me

Taurus Tcp 738 like the one Ross has. I have it in a Crossbreed mini tuck holster. Its easy to conceal and it feels comfy in my giant hands. I am 6'4" with xxl hands and it does well in my hands. I have a springfield xd sub that I never carry just because its double stack and anything double stack is heavy. When you carry all day it gets heavy after a while.

I second the taurus Slim 9. Cheap and very reliable, I've never once had a malfunction. If you're serious about carrying, your pistol is going to get a little beat up. I don't see any point in carrying anything nice, but thats just my opinion.

I use the Kangaroo Carry, standard II holster. http://www.kangaroocarry.com/
It's comfortable, washable and almost invisible. I'm a thin guy so IWB holsters would always print and they were awfully uncomfortable while sitting. I have a crossbreed mini tuck for a slim 9 and a minotaur IWB holster for a Para LDA 9 I'll sell if anyone is interested.
