heres the deal, i am in the middle of a cam swap on a new 2013 ZL1 Camaro. i have done several cam, head, engine swaps, and I am very competent with the LS platform. The customer talked to a vendor and discussed options. The vendor spec'd out a new grind they had never done before saying it was going to make tons of power.. I was surprised at the duration and lift of the cam on the exhaust side. Ok, so cam was installed (yes dot to dot, and checked multiple times) and the exhaust valve hits the piston. Now the vendor is perplexed how it doesnt fit......i want your opions on this grind....
218/250 @.050
intake opens -13 BTDC, closes 51ABDC
exhaust opens 67 BBDC, closes 3ATDC
.638/.655 lift
122 lsa, -10 overlap
0 deg installed timing
Vendor is sending out a new cam, they've been cool about it all, I just want to know what other people think about it. They are still wondering how it doesnt fit.

The duration combined with that lift on a stock bottom lsa is just too much. Even if this thing was degreed in it would still be far too close ptv clearance. If you dont mind me asking who ground this thing? Thinking of what else could have happened when they cut this cam.
