Default LMR Custom Grind Camshaft picks up 40rwhp in a 5.3 Avalanche!!

This truck was brought to us to get one of our custom cams but the customer was adamant about not wanting to change torque converters. So we spec'd out a cam that would work good with the stock converter and not sacrifice too much power up top. Needless to say the results speak for themselves!

Run down of other supporting mods on the truck? I have an Avalanche that could use a cam.

This one had shorty headers and cold air intake with stock cats.

Nice. Would this cam work well with the stock manifolds and still pick up decent power? I can't imagine the shorty's added much.

It would work very well in my opinion. I mean obviously with exhaust it would pick up more but i still think it would be worth a decent amount.

Yes it would work just fine in a 4.8 but in a 4.8 i would like to see it have a converter in it as well. A custom cam installed (in a truck) with springs, pushrods, gaskets, oil and filter, tuned and out the door your looking at $2699.99.
If you want to add a torque converter It will run you an additional $1200 (2wd trucks, 4wd is a little more)

If you just want to order the camshaft it is $418+tax
