Default Beware: Distinct Fabrications out of Mckinney, Texas

My truck was damaged after taking it to a shop to have the front tubbed. The same day I dropped it off, it was hit, by another customers Yukon, that was in the shops possession.

The owner, Hector, of DF stated he was going to take care of it. So he was to tub, fix damage, put on shackle, and paint my rear bumper.

What I got was shackles...yup, all he managed to do in 3 weeks of having the truck was installing my rear drop shackles. The day before the insurance picked it up to take it to the body shop (that I had to initiate through my insurance) he stated that he had the driver side tubbed and would cut out the fucked up fender (mini-tub) in order for me to at least have it drive-able. Well, he didn't.

I paid $150 up front on good faith for him to do the work (as several guys recommended him, so I felt comfortable doing this). This guy should be ashamed! He had a location in Rowlett, now Mckinney, and stated that he was moving to Arlington soon. STAY AWAY!

The day it left my house

The same day I dropped it off, this happened

does it look tubbed to you?

Oh, and after all the bullshit, he then says he can't afford to fix it, and that the guy who was driving the customers car who was at fault was claiming it on his insurance. So this coming Wednesday puts me a month without my truck, no rental, and as of 8:42 am Monday morning, his insurance has not taking fault.

Please spread the word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't the inner fenders of the Gm truck just bolt-in still?? I don't remember really looking at it too hard on my 05 Sierra when I had since I just leveled it off...

The story goes like this:

Customers Yukon was parked perpendicular of mine, the guy when to back it out of the spot to rearrange vehicles that were in the shop, truck died, and it coasted into mine...that's the story I received.

Both guys have been apologetic the entire time, but that nets me zero! Until the truck is fixed I am going to be irate. I believe it is understandable given the circumstances. This wednesday makes 1 month that it has been damaged. And the fact that I had to call my insurance to get the ball rolling last Wednesday really angered me.

Someone, who is buddy-buddy with Hector linked him to my thread on pt.net (which I wasn't hiding as I linked my CustomGM link to my FB post, and his a "friend" on my FB). He called me last night and spoke with me. He's upset that I posted on all the forums, and stated he would give me my $150 back and try to get with the other guy and get the insurance thing worked out.

When I get my $150 back, and the truck is fixed I will be a happy camper. Still a bit bitter over the whole situation.

I would be too. Unfortunately people have horrible morals in today’s world. Sometimes posting on forums is the only way to get action. GL./

Update:

Allstate called, to take down some info, but they still have yet to talk with the guy at fault so they can send payment to USAA. Today makes a week, and still no word on my refund.

Well, still no refund. And as of yesterday, no one has been named "at fault".

I want to reiterate, do NOT use this guy.

Friday evening he said he had my money, 4 hours after he was supposed to meet me. This after he said he would on Wednesday. I guess this is a life lesson learned. I doubt I will ever see my money.

Of course my arms didn't show up again today. Second time he has said he sent them and they got lost, neither time has he been able to find the tracking #. Luckily Paypal has already taken the money from his account and is waiting on me to send the random **** he sent back, then they will put it back in my account.

I'll cross post, not sure if this is a tech no no or not...

People don't do business right anymore. You wouldn't believe how much of this crap that I see and hear about. With my business, I am of the mindset that I want a happy and returning customer.
