getting 100LL in houston
getting 100LL in houston anyone know where i can get a hold of some 100LL (avgas) in North houston area? Hooks and Conroe airport said no go. Supposedly they are cracking down pretty heavy recently being a 'safety concern' or something. Guess i need to find a smaller airport that doesnt care as much.

smileys racing is right up here in the woodlands, they have EVERYTHING. its crazy. just didnt know if someone has a hookup somewhere else or if these vp prices are pretty set in stone. vp110 is around 10$ gal and c16 is up there in the 12$ range at smileys.
ive been doing pump gas 50/50 mix with 110 but its still expensive. i think the leaded 100 avgas may be about the same for way less, but wouldnt mind a vp hookup to splurge now and then.

if your looking for 100LL I know for a fact that Houston Executive has the cheapest 100LL prices in the houston area. That is at least for the avaition world. When I worked there every pilot told me that they couldnt find it any cheaper. Houston Exeutive is off of Igloo Rd right off of I-10 West. I have filled up cars before too there so they are automotive friendly
