I've been trying for 2 weeks now to get a hold of Texas Drivetrain Performance and haven't gotten a single response or even been able to get anyone to answer. I've tried emailing and everything short of driving 3 hrs to see if their open. They say you can blind ship your trans to them but that ain't happening with a ctsv trans, I won't risk that. Does anyone know if they are still on business? Did they change their number? Any help would be appreciated or recommendations for a trans rebuilder near Austin.
I hope not. They were still there three months ago but you never know.
Bad experience with TDP? If so, please describe your experience. I had them rebuild my 10 bolt and both diffs on my wife's Jeep. I haven't heard any complaints from my wife and I have not run the 10 bolt yet.
Got response from him on the 18th. Call his number 817-300-6840. He answered all questions. He was in the process of moving shops. Just resend it he will respond. I've read when I was searching on the forums tdp is busy but highly recommended.
I got a hold of him and he sent me a shipping label but at this point communication has ceased. I check the tracking and it's been attempted to be delivered 2 separate times now and UPS says there's was no one there to accept the shipment. Each time during normal business hours. Idk why he would send me a prepaid label and not be there when it's delivered and lose money??? They are making one more attempt then I'm telling them to bring it back. Called and emailed him and no response, voicemail is full. Is contact with him always this sketchy? I'm afraid to have him tear into it if it even get delivered for one and if I can't even get a hold of him when needed....

your logic for UPS to return the trans after the third failed attempt is sound.
im not sure how long you have been in the car game, but i would encourage you to follow what your gut tells you. the gut knows. it took dealing with a lot of BS for me to figure this out.
is your location correct (austin)?
Why not have TSP do it? there has to be someone in the austin/san antonio area that can do it. are you in the austin fbody facebook group? if so, have you asked who can do it locally? if not in the fb group, join ASAP, then ask.

What address is it trying to be delivered to? If it's to Harmon rd. He no longer has the shop there. He moved to Weatherford texas.
They just built me a great TR6060 along with one of my friends. They have been absolutely slammed according to Jason. He was always very good at communicating with me and they had my trans for 4 months. I know when they shipped mine back it was right around when they were moving shops. I highly doubt they went out of business maybe just avoiding new business until they get everything squared away?
I spoke with him not too long ago. Getting ready to send in a T56 for a build. He just moved shop and his phone lines havent been transfered over yet. Email him or call his cell.
