Cool friendly inspection shops around Houston ..

looking for a friendly inspection area for a ls swapped car. my usual place got shut down for reasons unknown, went to a shop and talked to the inspector and automatically said the car would fail due to no cats on the car and it being a 95 and something to do with it being swapped car?

i have a 95 ls swapped mustang btw

if anyone could lead me to the right place id appreciate it

Having a swapped motor shouldn't matter, but all the emissions stuff has to be there. So yes, no cats is a deal breaker. Sorry, I can't recommend a shop.

Having a swapped engine in a 95 DOES matter. its because 95 and older cars must be tested for emissions on a Dyno with a tail pipe probe and a rpm reader which connects to a spark plug wire. This is due to it being OBDI and having a distributor... 96 and newer cars with OBDII are tested through the OBD port. There is no legal way around it. Also, you definitely need a catalytic converter with working O2 sensors... your best bet is to find a "friendly" inspector that can get around it. if the car was over 25 years old, you wouldn't need emissions testing and the swap wouldn't have mattered. good luck.
