Default 93 Lt1 dyno chip burn?

Hey guys , I have a 93 Camaro with a stroked 383 and I am trying to find anyone in Texas or surrounding states that can do a real time dyno tune and prom burn. Soloman did my mail tune but the air gas mix couldn't get spot on 52mm and bosch III #30 injectors. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

The last people I knew to even have the stuff to do it was 10+ years ago. No one really wants to mess with the LT1 stuff let alone the earlier chip stuff, it can be temperamental and replacement stuff is very difficult to find. You may try Ed Wright, but I doubt he does them any more either. Even back in the day most the 93s were converted to the 94+ MAF or aftermarket, Accel Gen 6 or SpeedPro (Current day XFI). I went to a 24X system on mine. Craig Moates still sells the chip burning stuff how ever. People have ran 9s on the older chip stuff, but most those cars were tuned in the 90s.

It makes sense, you spend a lot of time, effort and money on a set up and then leave it all on the table by not really dialing in the tune. Go 24X and don't look back, like said before. Best thing you'll ever do.

I talked to Ed Wright last week, He closed his shop and just does mail tunes now. What does 24x exactly stand for?

After some research found out it replaces the opti and will need coil packs..Looks like the way I'll be going. Anyone know of a good shop in Fort worth area to get this conversion done?

Any LS shop should be able to handle the install. Depending on budget and niceness of the car, I would just have the guys at EFIconnection build the harness. HPtuners and EFIlive are leaps and bounds better than Tunercats. I own all three. The data logging capabilities and ease of use make LS ecm's worth there weight in gold. Just my .02.

Thanks for the info codyvette.I found a new conversion by TorqHead it uses the existing harness and bolts up where the opti does without removal of the timing cover..A little pricey but way cool. here is a link, they are out of stock but looks like it's worth the wait.

Correct, the reluctor wheel is set up similar to a 4X OBDII LT1 where the reluctor is seated on the snout on the crank. The opti is replaced with a cam position sensor. The newer EFI Connection has this integrated in to the billet cover. Other wise it's an adapter that bolts to where the opti would have gone. There's a custom harness engine harness to replace the factory and you run the ignition with LS based coil packs. I've had it on my 93 for the last 5 years, it's a good set up and it's nice to be able to tune the car with HP tuners. All my factory gauges work, it's a good set up. I am now knocking the Torquehead set up, but there are far more cars running the EFI connection 24X for a lot longer since it's been really proven. I dealt with Mike quite a bit since we were one of the first to run a billet cover for a double roller chain and they have a ton of research in to the system. I know 5-6 local LT1s alone than run the 24X kit, anything from stroker to bolt on cars with solid results.

I would just convert the car to a 97 OBD2 PCM then anyone can tune it no problem. Especially if the car is stock or more or less stock no reason to get crazy with pcm retrofits. But if you want it bulletproof optiless the 411 swaps the way to go.

no way, the 96-97 **** sucks. 94-95 swap or x24 is the best way to go.
