New to Denton, TX need reliable LS mechanic
Hello, my name is Carl and I have recently moved to Denton. I have a 2002 Trans Am WS6 and it needs repairs so I'm wondering if anyone can reference me a reliable mechanic? I am also new to this site, so any help would be appreciated. Feel free to email me at: carleldon@ymail.com

Well, my car is bogging down horribly and feels like it has no power so I stopped driving it for now. The same thing happened about a month ago, and a mechanic in Gainesville had told me that my o2 sensor came undone somehow and I was only running on 4 cylinders..so when the issue came up again a few days ago I bought a new o2 sensor I just don't have the means so get under the car and do it myself. But I will definitely look into Anything Automotive.
On a subnote, is that a porformance based shop or is there one around? I'm wanting to discuss future mods and give me advice when it comes to cam/heads and other things of that matter? I already have my exhaust done and I'll try to update this profile sometime tonight to give people an idea of where I am at

If you want a quality repair shop and performance shop Anything Automotive is the only one around I would go to, unless you brought it here. John at anything automotive is very experienced in standard vehicle diagnostics and race car ****.
By the way whatever mechanic told you that your disconnected oxygen sensor made it run on 4 cylinders was wrong and I would find someone else.
Also if you're looking in denton and denton only you will not find a better recommendation than Anything Automotive. I would be your next best bet but I'm in Dallas.I say that because most performance shops are not good at diagnosing standard issues, they do performance stuff, and most auto shops are not good at or don't want to do both. John (anything automotive) does both and I do both.

Ok thank you, and I'd have no problem driving to Dallas, but I can't even drive my car right now. If you wouldn't mind giving me your contact info, I can give you a call to try to set something up whenever you are free

Just South of Denton in Lewisville is Dusold Designs, he does a lot of different work, mostly mods and bodywork. But, he would know of some really good LS shops around because he makes a lot of really fast cars and he has to have his twin turbo LS2 worked on. Look up Dusold Designs on google and ask for Mike
