Red face Help with clutch choice

I had a Thompson motorsport forged 370 installed in my 1998 Camaro 6 speed,
the new clutch assembly bought from parts geek LUK is slipping after 5000 miles in the higher gears 4th thru 6 gears. I had all new hydraulics , flywheel etc.

My question is what gm performance clutch that would work in my application and not slip. LS7 clutch or maybe a corvette ZO6 clutch assembly.

Thank you in advance... for any suggestions.

May I ask why you are thinking of GM performance? I have an LS7 setup in my cam only LS1. It holds decent in normal street driving but it is heavy and you can tell it is holding the motor back. I went to Royal Purple this past weekend and you can tell it isn't going to survive very many more 4K RPM clutch dumps.

Ls7 clutches are poo. Idk what your budget is but look for something lighter. Even just a stock replacement with a aluminum fly is atleast a upgrade over a ls7 clutch set up.

I have an LS7 clutch w 23K miles on it that I just removed from my 08Z06... Complete w flywheel, slave, tick remote bleeder... I'd take $375 cash... No issues.. Just added heads, cam, etc....

I don't think it will work on an LS1/6. I believe the kits you buy for f-bodies has a special flywheel. I could be wrong but I would research first.

LS7 clutches require an LS2 style raised flywheel.

Monster is a very popular choice. I've put in a couple of them. The clutch pedal becomes kind of hard but they are still out kicking good five years later or so. I had a Spec in one of my cars that ended up being out of balance and Spec gave me the run-around telling me I was wrong. I installed a LS7 clutch in it's place and my vibration went away. Twin disk options will always work best but will cost more.

I recently installed the Monster LT1-S dual in my 08Z06... Still breaking in. But so far it is very nice. I have ran the Mantics, the Mcleod RXT in previous Z06's and I am now a Monster fan.. minimal pedal effort, no chatter, vibrations, smooth as butter, bites hard, releases up top... Its a very nice clutch for the money. I opted for the steel flywheel, Tick remote bleeder, new slave, newer GM OEM MC... Rated at 700/700 it will suit my needs for now. Monster is also local to Dallas/FTW.

If I separate my Viper Shafted T56, I have a Spec Super Twin, flywheel ect that I just pulled. There is nothing negative about it. I'm going 4L80.
