Default Texas Trans Ams

I am moving to Texas soon and i am wondering what the T/A scene is like down there. Im selling my Firebird here soon and am gonna look for an '01 or '02 WS6 as soon as i get down there (yeah let the BS flag fly ) What are my chances of finding a Black WS6 in good condition with relatively low miles down there? Ill be near San Antonio and my preference is an '02.

I was looking everywhere for a black m6 ls1 T/A. Thank god black was the most produced color. But the ones I found went pretty quick, but I had to have an m6, so that was tough considering they made more A4's in the lower years. I saw plenty of clean low mileage black ws6....mostly 01/02 and lots of m6....but they were all out of my price range.

Might help to ask around with the Texas forum and maybe some of the clubs... got a big list which includes one in San Antonio and some others around the state.

I always thought that M6s were more common.

There are by far more f-bodies in TX than any other state. Especially in Houston and Dallas areas.

Yup, I came across tons...all out of my price range, though. Oh, well. And Nineball is right, which also means lower prices.

I'd agree, although I rarely ever come across another actual Trans-AM. Most are Firebirds with V6's or they are Camaro V6's and occasionally a Z28. I've seen a few SS's here and there. Rarely an actual Trans-AM.

Even rarer is the Firehawk's. I've seen one up at my work once. It was an LT1 Firehawk. Never have I seen an LS1 Hawk actually on the road other than mine.

I'd actually like to see some more F-Bodies around. I just never run into them in Dallas.

I'm thinking of selling my 01 six speed WS6. It's black with only 11k miles. Torque Thrust and stock wheels included. I have it with a pic on autotrader.com it's located at zip 79605...that's in Abilene Texas.

It looks like there's a Firehawk decal on the door of your car. I have some painted 'Hawk rims if someone wants them. Will sell them for $250.
