Flashing the hazards is the method street racers use to let the observing crowd know who won the race. Hardly necessary at the track unless they're not displaying times, but habits are hard to break. Some take the hazards as an insult when there is no crowd of observers (nothing like stating the obvious). Worst offenders I've seen are the guys who do the ricer flyby, then flash the hazards.

I hardly ever waste my gas on ricers. But when I do I always throw on my flashers just to be a dick If their freinds are watching I throw them on before the race starts. I hate ricers they make me sick

Man you guys are hard on rice. Somehow that sounds totally stuiped?? Anyhow... I have 2 LS1's and I'll die with Chevy in my blood ( will probably die in my chevy !!!) but...I also own half rice :-) I have an Eagle Talon which technically is a dodge :-) Whew saved my *** !!! And my Talon is modified as much as my LS1's are. It's a turbo all wheel drive and it fricken gooooooooooos !!! Moral of the story ya gotta give some of those guys credit at the time and cash they spend on those cars and to get some of the results they do out of a 4 or 6 is pretty impressive to say the lease. I agree some are idiots and in most cases they are also usually kids but I know a few that are pretty cool guys that wouldn't think twice about giving up their life for me if the need ever arised. And in the same respect I also know a few losers that drive LS1's just look at the board here.

Excellent post. It's good to see there are still people who seem to think today. There are so many people on this board that criticize imports for doing the same things domestics have been doing for years. I have seen the flashers from LT1's ,LS1's and mustangs for years. I agree there are alot of hypocritical idiots on this board. I often see people here criticize or group all imports or mustangs with certain strerotypes or talk about how cocky supra guys are etc., but from what I see many Ls1 guys are some of the worst. Just look at how man post on this board there are criticizing imports that are actually fast, or say things like "it still just a civic", Or mustangs are slow , even though mustangs are full of 6 and 7 second classes these days which a great deal faster than the fastest or our cars, and there are toooo many 11, 10, 9 ,and 8 second mustang street and race cars around.

I CAN't speak for them all, because obviously by this post some seem to be decent. I have a Trans AM myself, and I don't really care for the looks of MOST mustangs, or the sound of MOST imports. The reason for me is because I like the sound and tourqe of a V8, and don't like the looks of most mustagns, but Not because I think they are inferior. Fast is fast and I respect a fast car.
