Default I need one of these

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...aro/remote.jpg

This is the kind of alarm remote I need. Sorry for the **** quality, but I had to take it pretty quickly at work. Anyway, as you can see the bottom loop for where it goes on a key ring broke and I keep forgetting this thing when I walk out of the house. If anyone has one of these let me know. I have this posted in Parts Wanted, but have only got offers on newer models of remotes...does anyone know if the codes from my older remote can be programmed into a newer one?

Thanks

Yeah, I am not paying 89 bucks for just the clicker and an additional 40 bucks to program it. They can lick my nuts.

EDIT: The reason I don't want to pay that much is that I really only need the plastic shell part, I can use the guts from my current one if I just have the new plastic to put it in.

if ya DO decide to go all out getto, I think that epoxy would probly hold to that type of plastic the best (that's what we used to fix cosmetic damage to night vision in iraq, worked very will....we also used it to do legitimate fixes to other gear as well) You would not believe the amout of money the Manufactures want for some of the dumbest parts.

I'd hope that ya didnt go that route, but if ya do...epoxy all the way

Or if you know someone with metalworking skills, I'd think it should be possible to make a neat custom case for it... that way, wouldn't have to worry about breaking the plastic loop again

A_W_O_L thanks a ton man! I knew that I had seen something like this before, but a Google search led me nowhere.

I would buy just the case and swap the internals (that is what I wanted to do) but GM won't sell just the case...you get the guts with it. Suckas.
