Default need help/favor (Houston area) from a convertible(4th gen) owner

Hi,

I would need a favor from someone that lives in TX, close to Houston, that has a convertible and is willing to go to a specific audio shop for me to have some measurements taken in the trunk, so the shop can fab me a sub-box inside the trunk... but it has to be a convertible 4th gen.
The shop is:

Expressive Audio
9604 FM 1960 bypass
Humble, TX
77338
The owner is called Wilson

I don't know the area, but am told that it's very close to Highway 59 on FM-1960... I guess that's gonna mean something for local people.

Anyway, if anyone is close to it, and is willing to do me this HUGE favor, I'll gladly send you a few $ for the trouble... and I'll really appreciate it.
Either post on the thread if you can help, or send me a PM... so we can arrange something, before you just go by for no reason... wanna make sure whoever does this for me, doesn't lose precious time.

Thanks a lot guys,

Could we ask why you are getting a box made in Houston if you are in Canada?

The thing is that I will be purchasing the whole audio system from them... since local shop BS-ed a lot and wants an arm and a leg.
Wilson really knows his stuff and referred by some friend as well.
I'm getting it all there, cause the price is good and I like the help he gave me on the phone... and no BS... so he gets my business.

Anyways, I basically want a box on the driver side, in the trunk, that would fit a 10" just fine.
As for the amount of time needed, I can ask Wilson how much time is needed.
As for the $... if someone is willing to go, I'll make sure his time is rewarded... I guess I'll talk those details once I have people willing to go.

If you want to call to ask how much time is needed, tell them it's for the measurements for Eugenio, the convertible Camaro from Canada, you a friend that gonna pass by so he can take measurements.

Anyways, his phone # is : 281-446-5266... ask for Wilson.

Thanks in advance.

I have a convertible and live about 10 miles from Humble. I could possibly do it on a week night next week. I've been looking to replace the factory speakers anyways, so if he is good I might buy some.

I just don't want to be stuck there for over an hour unless he is installing my speakers

Cool.
I'll call him on monday and ask how much time he needs for the measurement.
I basically want to put the 10" sub on the driver side section of the trunk, pretty much everything to the left of the big trunk hole.
I'll PM you with more information (my cell#)... you can send me yours if you want so it'll be easier.
I guess he could take several measurements when you pass by and get all your info on speakers... when installing your speakers, he can test-fit a box he did from the measurements
That means he can also make one for you...

Thanks,

Tony,

I spoke with Wilson... and he'll need roughly 15 minutes for taking all the measurements so he can build it... so that shouldn't be too bad.
Then you can talk to him about all your needs on speakers as well
Once he has built the boxes (sub + amp) would be nice if you could pass for another 15 minutes to test fit them in the car to make sure all is fine.
I PM-ed you his phone #.
Anyways, here it is, just in case:

Expressive Audio
9604 FM 1960 bypass
Humble, TX
77338
(281) 446-5266 (Wilson)

Once again, thanks a lot.
Don't forget to PM me your mailing address so that I can send you check.
Thanks a lot.

I'll see if I can get over there before Friday. Probably leaving work early on Thurs.

If the box looks nice, I might want one also.

after few discussions with Wilson, I'm gonna go with a design that is pretty much like this one, making it flush to the rest of the trunk floor, just occupying the lower section:

He'll also be making something else for separating the top section w/ trunk so that the amps can fit in the trunk side.
Compared to these pix, I'll be going with a single 10" instead of the single 12" or even dual 10"s.
Since I'm getting the whole system from there, I might as well get the box as well.

Tony, just make sure you call him before passing by... last thing I want is you to go there on purpose and them not being there... I really appreciate your help on passing there to help me out.

Expressive Audio... Did it used to be RND Sounds? I've lived here 10 years and have never heard of this place.

rings a bell... you can always check it out.
Wilson Adcock is very well known and respected in the sound field... his name might ring a bell to you.

Yeah, I recognize the name, just not the shop.
If it's the place I'm thinking of, they've got probably 200 trophys in the shop's front window. It's not a big fancy store like cartoys, but you can tell that they really know what they're doing.
