Default Can someone look up a license plate for me??

My sister was hit last night and the guy was very reluctant to give her his information. He gave her an expired insurance card and wouldn't give her his name or license information. She went to call the cops and the guy took off. She did get his plate number and I was wondering if someone could look it up for me. The insurance card doesn't even have his name or any contact info besides the vehicle he has, the policy number, vin, and the agency he was insured by. I will be calling the insurance company Monday to see if they are still insuring him or not, but in the time being I would like to see if I can get some info on the guy to use on the Police Report. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If he refused to give his name and number and gave an expired insurance car, wouldn't it be concidered a hit and run by the police?

go to www.publicdata.com and register for an account. Its cheap. Then you can look up the plate and find who the vehicle is registered to.

That is what I thought, but the police say differntly. It turns out the vehicle is a company car and I assummed that is why he didn't want to give his name or anything. I went to the police station and filed a report and they looked up the plate for me. They told me to have our insurance call their insurance and go from there. So I will see what happens.

If that would have happened here we would have charged him with a Hit&Run possibly felony.
Civilian:
Ticket with federal court date (federal ground) He doesn't show up warrant goes out for his arrest through the FBI. Suspend him for at least 1 year on every military base in the world.
Military:
Ticket him. Suspend him for at least a year on all military bases. NJP him take a strip away, non-rate him for promotion for a year. take 2/3 of pay from him for a few months. Put him on restriction (meaning he cant leave his room) has to wear camis all the time, can't even buy or drink alcohol, prob for about 30 days. Thats how we roll!
