Default Gas prices are way too high!!!

it also seems that in my area, along with the high gas prices, they are also selling dirty gas . my dads vehicle has been acting up ever since he filled it up with gas and i know of some other cars that are acting up. actually today in my environmental science class we discussed that they are going to drill for the oil that we have in Alaska. Correct me if im wrong but that should mean gas prices will go down, right? I'm sure everyone else is suffering the high gas prices but what about the dirty gas? that stuff really sucks

Yes, Alaska means lower gas prices, but my question is, how soon will it be? Just think, Texas has the lowest price in the nation too!

What happen to the animal right activist protesting drilling there? Guess they couldn't afford the gas to go up there and tie themselves to a tree. Isn't this the only reason we haven't drilled there?

It will be SEVERAL years before we even see any of that oil in Alaska. Somewhere around 5-10 years or something like that.

Some of you guys want to rent a tanker and go up there lol. Yeah it'll be around that time range for the oil. Sucks. Glad I don't drive my car everyday.

I was just about to say the same thing. I remember seeing that it would take about 7 years for that oil to make it to the pumps in the form of gassoline.

Today I paid 32 dollars to fill my tank

I just moved here from Wisconsin, where the expensive gas is crappy. As a motorcycle enthusiast, I had to make sure that I either used the gas in my tank or drained it within 30 days, or it would actually seperate. That, for anyone with carbs, means a carb-clean. Gee, I thought we were supposed to GAIN something in this area by going to Iraq?!?

I pay around $45 to fill the truck, and get about 275 miles on a tank (mostly city driving - can't seem to keep my foot off the gas ). Vette only takes around $30-35 to fill up, and I get over 300 miles to a tank.

Prices are still going up from here, so don't complain yet. Regular unleaded is over $3 a gallon in California, so we should consider ourselves lucky.

On the one hand, I hate the gas prices. On the other, my wife's family business is oil field equipment (mother-in-law runs a oil field tool business and wife is in HR at Baker Hughes), so the high prices help me, too. Bitter sweet.

LOL, the gas prices here are on average 2.15- 2.19 a gallon of REGULAR, this is in Wisconsin. You want to talk about sucking, that sucks, but I guess I will be use to gas prices when I get back home, since I will have super unleaded in the vette.

We're not too far from that now. I've seen it between $1.95 and 2.07 just around the NW area for regular.

I knew this would happen when Bush won the election. Food and Gas are not as high as it is going to get either. We will see alot of violence in the next 4-5 years with everything going up except for people's pay.

Bush reelection has nothing to do with it. Do you really think we'd be better off with that spineless Kerry in office? Give me a break. The terrorists would control the oil.

actually it may not help. most of the oil in this country is exported. the stuff we get is from overseas. or at least that is the way it used to be.

oh living on campus is great i fill up every 3 weeks or so. and can on the highway get about 500 miles on one tank in the caprice

Premium here is $2.279. That's ******* insane. Pisses me off really. I guess I won't be driving my car much for a while. It even has me thinking twice of getting my 12-bolt, since I won't be driving my car much. Someone knock some sense into me!
