Talking New Corvette Z51 photos

Today was a long day! Stayed out too late last night drinking with some friends, woke up after 4 hours with a slight hangover and then Lisa and I took the 3.5 hour trip up to Plano (North of Dallas) to pick up the new 2005 Corvette. I got a nice deal on the car, $3K off of MSRP. Here in Houston they want 2-7K OVER MSRP. That wasn't going to happen!

Nice dealership up there, didn't haggle on price or anything. I simply handled the purchasing via email mostly. Told them what I would pay, and they said 'no problem'. I'd highly recommend Huffines Chevrolet in Plano, TX to anyone, they were good to work with. Ask for Rob Dingwall.

So, the convertible SS is at it's new owner's home in St Louis, and my garage space is occupied by this stealthy looking ride:

These cars are SO nice to drive. Much tighter/quieter inside than the C5s I've driven. Virtually no wind or road noise comes into the cabin. The seats are just sweet, I'd love to have a pair of those for every car I own. I put 248 miles on the car driving it home, it only had 7 miles on it when we picked it up. It easily feels like a mid-12 second car, and the LS2 engine has a nice throttle response.

Damn thats sweet!! Are those wheels magnesium, or just painted? Nice choice man, love the way the wheels contrast with the black paint. Huffines is a great place to deal with, James Wood is also.

Those wheels on the car are the optional "Competition Gray" wheels. They are just painted the same color as the C5 Z06 wheels were. These are the wheels I want:

But, maybe in a 6-spoke design.

Nice choice in color for the body and rims. It seems to flow very well.

Those will would look Fu@#ing awesome on your new vette!!!! Even in a 5 spoke. 5 spoke would show off those rotors and calipers better though. Nice choice Tony, wheels and car!!!

Awesom vette!
But do not put those wheels on your vette! Gotta be some of the ugliest wheels i have ever seen. I don't understand how any of you can like them... i don't know.... and red interior? what about the cool 2 tone black and silver!
I love that transparent roof! get more pics of the roof, remove the roof and take pics.

Congrats on the new purchase! Very clean looking car, but the red interior doesn't do it for me.

I love the red interior. Guess its good to have choices, right?

Daniel, I could say the same thing about you buying a yellow Vette (my least favorite color on them)

Congrats Tony! I love the wheels that you have on there now but I know you just aren't happy with stock.

Never happy with stock

The new Boyd F22 forged wheels look very close to the next Z06 wheel. Nice split-spoke design. But, I really like wheels with rivets, gives the car more of a performance inspired look.
