Default Funny Run in With Texas Highway Patrol

So this afternoon I leave San Antonio and begin my drive back to H-Town. Just east of Seguin I set my cruise at 85 and sit back to enjoy the trip. Well, up from behind me comes a NMB T/A with plates that read "BLONDE". This chick cruises past me like I'm standing still, running at least 110 or so. So I kick it in the *** and go, figuring she can run interference for me.

I hang back about 1/2 a mile or so and we're steady 105. Just past Weimer I see the flashing lights coming up behind me in the rear view mirror. I slow down and slide over into the slow lane thinking that she's gonna get it. Well the Trooper pulls up next to me and is screaming into his PA to pull over and wait for him to come back. Yeah, right! So I nod and wave and let him go by. Then I get in behind him and follow him. He's doing 120 trying to catch the other T/A. About 10 miles down the road he finally gets up behind her and she pulls over. I ease over onto the shoulder and hes standing behind his car staring at me with his hands on his hips. He points to the grass and gives me the worst "eat **** and die" look I've gotten in a long time.

Suddenly it hits me and I angle my car in typical police style and jump out of the car. Before he even says anything I tell him "did you see how crazy shes driving? Shes been doing like 110 or so for a long way. I was trying to get her plate so I could call it in", then whip out my badge.

Long story short, he writes her for speed and thanks me for my help.....

I think I caught him off guard...I would have never fallen for that story. I wouldn't have written the cop a ticket either but still....I'm sure it will hit him right after dinner while he's sitting back relaxing. LOL

er... I guess if I was a cop I *might* find this amusing, as it is, kind of pisses me off. maybe we should all be cops so we can do whatever we want, eh?

You're so lucky that you are a cop, or you would have been toast!!
Sound's like you had a fun trip home though!!!

Well, I don't throw my weight around or ask for favors and I don't go around "badging" another officers just to get out of a ticket. I am a big boy and take my licks like everyone else. This was just quick thinking and it worked for me. Its not like I made a false accusation and blamed someone else for my screw up...bottom line she was haulin' *** and probably deserved a ticket. I was also haulin' *** and if I had been given a ticket I would have taken care of it.

Now, go be pissed off somewhere else!

Yeah, I was the recepient of one of those about a year ago....Trooper didn't care that I was a cop and was only doing 77/65. I had my family with me and we were on a trip.

00Pontiac, please note that this ticket is on my drivers license because I PAID FOR IT!
